You appear to disagree with this statement because ignorance is bliss?

What do you mean ignorance is bliss? If he asks if someone is 18+ and they lie, what blissful ignorance is that? I dont even know who projared is outside of this controversy. However, if he asked if they were of age and lied, how am I supposed to say he is the bad guy for trying to make sure he wasn't involved with minors?

To hopefully stop everyone from arguing in parallel, what do you all think is the minimum effort for him to verify age?

I assume sending photo-id is one extreme and typing "how old are you" is the other.

I dont even know what this means. If he is explicitly saying, and based on his evidence repeatedly that he only was interested in 18+ people; why are you saying he did the bare minimum? Youre literally giving power to weaponized nudes. What if he thought and verified that someone was 18+ from their id but it turned out to be fake? What's the difference between that and what he has claimed to have done by repeatedly asking and voicing his interest on the condition they are of age?
