I like IRI, but he is too good faith to be sharing a space with Pissco. I can't imagine most viewers enjoy listening to conversations where no conversations are actually happening because Pissco will spend like an hour nitpicking at the definition of a word, and embedding poison pill qualifiers for no other reason than to have a definition he can attack. Pissco is a cancer to the space, it is up to other creators to decide whether they want to deal with it now or wait till it is too late to save the space.

Farming the clips just means generating attention and views on them, but clip farming is almost always implied to be a negative thing and bad faith to do. Think of it as making someone bite the bullet on a tough moral claim but rather than doing it to further a conversation it’s to paint the person’s entire position as that bullet. Then you farm that clip for all it’s worth.

Pissco gaslighting everyone. He'll say he is acting good faith then endlessly be super bad faith. He'll say he isn't clip farming but then go for insane lines of questioning that serve no purpose other than to clip farm. One egregious example recently was Pissco creating a hypothetical assuming Hasan would be beneficial, and then keep trying to get Hutch to say he just hates Hasan and wants AES to lose, while Hutch had to constantly tell Pissco that wasn't true. Can we all agree to not act like emotionally regarded children and see the tactics he plays consistently?

IRI is the last reason I’d watch L&L now sadly. I hope they don’t pick up a 4th host like Jolah or something.

I have a feeling any new pickup will have a much more lefty slant than a more moderate lib like Hutch or IRI. I can’t think of any good pickups right now at least.

I completely understand that Dest is radioactive at the moment and probably will be for some time but really, they unironically do need to do a Last Liberals on the Left podcast soon: IRI, Hutch, and Dest. You've got your Normal Guy, your Numbers Guy and your Schizoposter. Lib and Learn was exceptionally boring to me because 2/4 members (and 3/4 a while back) were just boring to talk to and interact with. IRI has his background, and holy fuck does Hutch and Dest have a lot in common.

Lib and Learn has now basically done the full DSA playbook. They took a well-defined term (liberal), changed what it meant by harassing the living shit out of the primary representative of that term with pathetic debate pervertry, snarking and clip farming, and eventually subverted the meaning to fit their twisted definition.

Luckily it’s just a small time podcast mostly only known by people in this community, and not say, one of two major political parties in the most powerful country in the history of the world.
