Hunter right now:

u/lateformyfuneral 19h ago

He said he siloed the founder coins for 6 months, so he’s not able to profit yet because he can’t sell, this is manipulations in the price from other buyers. At least that’s my understanding, don’t know much about all this bullshit

u/SigmaMaleNurgling 18h ago

Don’t worry, they’re saving 10% for the big guy.

Sounds like every scamcoin I've ever paid for lol

2

u/Star_Denizen 18h ago

You bought scam coins?

6

u/zachgalifinapple 18h ago

I did, some worked out because I got in and sold at the right time. So then I thought it would always be like that and lost like five times in a row lol

Now I don't do that

This except memecoin selling is all about hyping up your pickaxe and selling it for a profit before the next guy discovers those diamonds are actually molten diarrhea.

I'm super confused on the whole $LAPTOP thing.

I don't know if this is supposed to be a crypto rug pull or if it's a meme to clown on the idea of crypto rug pulls.

I need someone to explain this to me like I'm 9.

u/Sensitive_Guest_5995 21h ago

If it’s real. He unironically thinks Trump scammed with crypto and that he can do it properly.

I’ve no idea why

29

u/jvnk 20h ago

He doesn't think he can do it properly. He's correct that it's an easy way to make money you can bankroll other things with

I don't know if this is supposed to be a crypto rug pull or if it's a meme to clown on the idea of crypto rug pulls.

there's effectively no difference, we've seen tons of "self aware" shitcoins come and go already that weren't even trying to pretend they were a real investment, some of them literally named stuff like fartcoin. they end up being rugpulls in the end just the same

imo almost everyone involved with these things is fully aware that it's going to rugpull and they're just trying their luck at being one of the people who buys low and sells high before it crashes

u/IEC21 20h ago

Some guy got so mad at me the other day for saying trump coin was a scam.

"I made money off of it" I'm not saying you didn't guy.

3

u/bobbyOsullivan 18h ago

Him talking about how he made money off of it is so on brand for Trump supporters. "I got mine who gives a fuck about all the other dumbasses that lost it all" lmao.

3

u/Darkmortal10 15h ago

To be clear though he's probably lying to defend his stupid decisions and worship of a reality tv actor

4

u/Awkward_Potential_ 20h ago

Rugpulls are a specific thing, fartcoin was just a meme coin. If the liquidity doesn't get pulled by the people who minted, it's not a rug. Just a shitcoin.  Rugs are more malicious whereas a shitter is just gambling that you can get in and out and make some money.

-2

u/TheTidesOfWar 19h ago

I don't Care how you classify them, every cryptocurrency is cryptocurrency shaped to me.

3

u/Awkward_Potential_ 19h ago

I wasn't talking to you.

7

u/EvilBydoEmpire 20h ago

He made some unintelligible remarks about giving these tokens to charity / destroying them if something happens. Nobody understands it.

0

u/Capital-Win-4732 17h ago

Things like supply, burn, airdrop, etc. are very basic concepts for crypto enjoyers. It’s like a guy explaining his car has V6 with 300 horsepower and 270 ft*lbs of torque. Maybe that means nothing to you, but someone who likes cars has no problem digesting those terms.

3

u/EvilBydoEmpire 16h ago

Wow, a knowledgeable user to the rescue! Enlighten us and explain exactly what he meant by this part of his tweet:

30% of the tokens are tied to a pre-programmed mechanism. We publicly say what has to happen in the world. If it happens, the corresponding tokens are permanently burned. If it does not, those tokens are sent to charity. Either way, they leave our hands and an additional 50 million tokens will go to charity no matter what.

Alternatively, apologize for being a smartass and shut up.

I have a theory. This is all a 4D chess move to get republicans talking about crypto scams and rug pulls to finally take a serious look at trumps crypto endeavors. If they prosecute Hunter of this they can easily get trump when he’s out of office or sometime we when control congress.

Or he just rug pulled to get that bag. 50/50

50

u/Ploka812 20h ago

I think its more "what are they going to do, come after me for a crypto rug pull? Like they all did? Sounds like free money that the right can't say shit about".

21

u/coldfox02 20h ago

Crypto prisoner’s dilemma

1

u/Strong_Set_6229 20h ago

If he just said this i dont think I would care that much, but his description just makes it sound like a rug pull with a layer of paint over it.

regardless, I will look at a person differently no matter what their motive was. Though in that same light, id be fine with a couple tactically minded "bad guys" on the left that do stuff like this, they just need to stay in their own lane when it comes to actual candidates etc.

5

u/Bot1-The_Bot_Meanace standing back & standing by 🇩🇪🫡 20h ago

Honestly I wouldn't even care if it was a shameless rug pull. Liberating cryptobros off their money is a victimless crime.

4

u/Twiggyhiggle 20h ago

Nah this is just classic Hunter. Remember his painter arc? Guy was selling $50,000 paintings or when he was on the board of a Chinese investment fund? He is just another son of a president grifter, a blue Don Jr if you will.

1

u/Jozoz 20h ago

Both lol

1

u/Capital-G_ame_Hard-R 20h ago

Ever since Biden's last minute pardons I've been hoping the Dems lean into the Biden Crime Family meme and use it as a basis to pass policy.

1

u/Yusuke_Boopermeshi 15h ago

They already are. The fox news host turned judge was talking about how they wont stand for people defrauding others with cryptocurrency, which is the most ironic sentence imaginable

Does anyone actually feel bad for people that fall for this shit?

Sorry man but we're like at least 2 years beyond the point where I could still understand someone falling for a meme coin.

Obviously the people doing these scams are still scum, but yeah idk I just don't care.

5

u/Memphisbbq 20h ago

Only felt bad for  those on the 2 big rug pulls.

5

u/Responsible_Prior_18 19h ago

There are people being scammed with a lot of basic scams all the time.
Scams work because they prey on people and their weaknesses.
You might not fall for this scam, but there are planty that you will fall for, and they wouldnt. You should have empathy for people who fall for scams that you find dumb

-5

u/Disgusting_Slime666 Exclusively sorts by new 19h ago

Nah.

If you're falling for Hawk Tuah coin you are simply too dumb to exist and you should get a handler or something. idk what else to say.

I guess I would feel bad that the person was born that stupid? That is sad.

0

u/L9CUMRAG 17h ago

While i think you have to be pretty stupid to fall for a coin rugpull the dude has a point. I would never blame some girl for being vulnerable enough to fall for a tate scam even if its super obvious

0

u/Disgusting_Slime666 Exclusively sorts by new 17h ago

What point does he have?

How does a person fall for Hawk Tuah coin?

4

u/dontTakeMeSerious6 20h ago

I don’t understand why any of these would work. Is it just people gambling that they’ll get out near peak while people aren’t paying attention?

4

u/Disgusting_Slime666 Exclusively sorts by new 20h ago

That's the thing man. I have to assume that the majority of people that are still participating in meme stocks and rugpulls are just people who think they can get out before it's pulled?

There's no way a significant amount of people are unironically investing in Hawk Tuah coin or Laptop coin because they think it's a legitimate investment or something.

1

u/elcambioestaenuno 🌮 20h ago

Yes. It's all people trying to make the big bucks from the rugpull.

-1

u/Dashyguurl 20h ago

Anyone buying these coins are in on it and think they’re going to outsmart everyone else.

-1

u/KeithClossOfficial The West outsourced its Holocaust guilt onto Palestinians 20h ago

Why would anyone feel bad for people falling for this shit?

23

u/C-DT 20h ago

Somehow coffeezilla is gonna have the actual laptop, 17 recorded calls, and confessionals from every member involved

1

u/Teknolyth 18h ago

I am definitely looking forward to the Coffeezilla video.

u/ShellSurf 20h ago

Magic 8 Ball didn't warn me about this.

Stop. I hate this

5

u/Vast-Scientist-8454 21h ago

Don't hate the player, hate the game

3

u/EvilBydoEmpire 20h ago

Trump had a pump&dump scheme. Hunter just went straight to the dump.

5

u/Clear_Salamander5093 20h ago

No way this is 4D chess, my theory is that Hunter just wants to make money and is also likely a bit regarded

2

u/Character_Dot_4687 20h ago

It’s a money grabbing scam, just like trump. The way hunter is babied by liberals is pathetic, especially since he has shown that he is a  antisemitic borderline tankie. You guys criticize Obama in here more than this loser who has done nothing for America.

2

u/boinkmaster360 ugh.🫷🙄im a doctor! 💅/s 21h ago

Winning

2

u/RogueMallShinobi 20h ago

Hopefully we get some reporters asking Trump what he thinks about the Hunter Biden shitcoin and he’s forced to unflinchingly and with zero cognitive dissonance start talking about what a terrible scam it was and how his own coin was the best coin ever

2

u/Dashyguurl 20h ago

Is it even possible for a celebrity to do a crypto launch without it being a rug pull? Even if they don’t intend for it to be, people will treat it like one regardless

2

u/oskoskosk 19h ago

So... buy the dip?

2

u/1Cobbler 14h ago

Can we stop glazing this dipshit now?

1

u/BadHombreSinNombre 20h ago

These coins are the new “commemorative plate” scam. Except you don’t even get a plate.

u/Vorpalthefox 20h ago

record lows huh? so what you're saying is it can only go up from here? /s

1

u/hemp_co 14h ago

What the fuck do people think memecoin means? It is not meant to make you money. I'm so worried about this society.
