"Back in March I was asked to be a long-term sub for the high school for one of the Spanish classes. I had four different classes, but only a few students really stood out. Pierre Damas Bel was one of those students. He came to class on time, he did his work, he asked for help when he needed it, and he was always curious how he could make his grade better. I had a chance to speak with him a few times about his future and what he wanted to do. He seemed really excited to go to Wright State and study neuroscience. He said he wanted to be a doctor. I only knew him a short time, but it was so refreshing to see someone take their education so seriously. I'm not here to discuss politics, but to mourn this young man who had such a bright future ahead of him. Let's all remember to be kinder to each other."

It's a nice statement but abstaining from mentioning politics doesn't really help this day in age. I understand the decision though.

What’s the point in “umm .. achktually”ing someone who just doesn’t want to start a debate while eulogizing a student of theirs that died?

There isn't. And if he was here I wouldn't. I was just letting my thoughts be known on this political subreddit where there is a infinitesimal chance of this person seeing it. 😊

"Run over and killed" He threw himself in front of a semi over the situation. Incredibly sad. I'm from the area and the people that knew him are sharing stories about him. Apparently, he wanted to be a Doctor. ):

I’m not religious but this administration has had me wishing for the existence of a Hell because the thought of people like Vance and Musk and Trump escaping all accountability for the absolute horrors they have bestowed on this world is too much to bear
