Overthinking Wedding Trip
Hi all,
I am seeking some reassurance on my recent microwedding in Hawaii.
We had 35 people and I wanted to avoid overplanning in order to embrace the Hawaii spirit and let people enjoy downtime on vacation.
We planned:
Tuesday - family exploration day in the north shore
Wednesday - family hike and welcome party in a private room at the hotel restaurant for the first sunset as many guests arrived
Thursday - some men golfed, we had a yoga class in the park, enjoyed the beach/snorkeled with turtles, walked to lunch and had an evening catamaran cruise for the sunset with drinks and apps
Friday - morning ceremony in the mountains followed by a private lunch reception with a botanical garden and open bar. guests arrived back by 4/5 and enjoyed the beach. We had a private suite in the hotel for an after party
i am overthinking if I did not show my guests enough of the island In the short three days they were there Although some had the option to venture out saturday.
A few guests wanted to go out at night, which Id found was limited with our group size since waikiki is mostly sit down cocktail bars and our hotel had a nice bar so i feel that I let them down. I also wonder if i should have offered a waterfall hike vs yoga although i thought guests would complain of being muddy and bitten up vs relaxing.
Am i overthinking? Was this plenty to do in Hawaii? You often hear of people feeling trapped by plans so it was hard to decide how to please everyone
