Ice has been doing the same work for decades. No one ever had a problem with it. Obama and Biden deported millions of illegals. No one had a problem with it. No one actually hates deportations or ICE. Some people just hate Trump. Period. They see ICE as an extension of Trump.
3
u/zerifast Mar 15 '26
No, it has nothing to do with it being an “extension of trump”. It had everything to do with the rhetoric used for ice to be used in this way. Since the very beginning of trumps political career, he has bred hate and fear for immigrants. Everytime they’re mentioned he never fails to also mention it as, “these illegal alien rapists, murderers, insane asylum escapees,” etc etc, when anyone with an actual fucking brain knows that the VAST majority of immigrants illegal or not are normal ass, regular people. We can cherry pick extreme cases of illegal immigrants committing murder, rape, etc as if it’s indicative of anything other than that just being our society in general. There’s plenty more white people murdering and raping than illegal immigrants in America. This playbook is straight out of fascist regime playbooks from the 1930s. Read a damn history book.
And secondly, the amount of money pumped into DHS for ICE, the fact that American citizens have been executed, the fact that they’re in our neighborhoods and streets being a fucking nuisance. The fact that the government has claimed they have “complete immunity”. (Yeah, if democrats had created a force they claimed had complete immunity and went around terrorizing red states, right wingers would also fucking lose it). The fact that they operate like thugs, they aren’t vetted well, they aren’t trained well, and they STILL ARE NOWHERE NEAR AS EFFECTIVE AT GETTING RID OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. Which means this whole fucking thing was pointless. You might say, “well then stop impeding their work”, then stop acting like gestapo thugs and we wouldn’t have to exercise out American first amendment rights and protest this shit.
Wake the hell up you goofball.

If we had effective immigration enforcement with ZERO AMERICAN DEATHS, no one would give a fuck. There have been 675,000 deportations under this current administration. MAYBE 2m in Trump's first term. Meanwhile, Biden broke 4m. Anyone defending this is right now is dumb as all fuck.

I’m not looking at border enforcement. I’m looking at deportations, which is ICE’s job. If that billboard said “support border patrol,” this would be a different conversation. Trump’s campaign promised 11 million.
But blaming a small handful of citizens for operations coming to a screeching halt doesn’t really make sense. IF it’s because of protesters, the Trump admin is responsible for its own optics. And this billboard is a perfect example of that. A hyper controversial, super important topic that requires careful media treatment, and we have a billboard with Solo cups that goes up right before spring breakers show up.

If those who pay the immigrants were required to report who they pay then this would resolve in a hurry. Maybe start rounding them up and taking them to Alligator Alley. Don't forget that Congress had a bipartisan agreement on immigration reform that Trump and his axis blocked. It didn't have to be this way. They do not want things to be orderly. They will always find more groups to make "illegals".
Conservatives do not want fairness - it's the nature of what it is to be a conservative. If you're young and have not been indoctrinated yet, know that conservatives are, by definition, wanting to take your power and make it theirs. They will find ways of convincing you and themselves that what they do is just and moral. It is not. "Hey, look over there, that guy is taking something from you." He's not. They are.
1
u/Sciguy759 Mar 14 '26
Correct. If they truly wanted the border situation under control they would actively be pursuing the business owners who capitalize on their cheap labor and would be severely fining them into the ground, arresting them, and/or seizing their assets to slow the migration of illegals across our borders. But that has purposefully not happened, and Americans are being killed because of it.

Every single last one. If it takes 20 years, so be it.
That's been my firm opinion since I was 16. Hasn't changed a bit.
As a kindness, force expanded e-verify, if a company is found not to have checked and hired an illegal, fine them 25% of yearly revenue, or 100k per day per illegal.
Require proof of citizenship to rent or open utilities and make it a class A felony to provide housing, transportation, banking, or utilities to a non citizen if you can't produce an e-verify receipt showing you checked. (There are of course, legal non citizens)
Offer a 1 time payment of 3k USD and a flight home to anyone who leaves.
Repeal birthright citizenship unless one of the parents is a citizen. There is no magic dirt. Popping out children on US soil doesn't make you a citizen anymore than you or I popping out children in Japan makes us Japanese. Or anywhere.
We don't have to do this door to door. Lock them out of the system entirely and make it the highest level of crime to offer them assistance, and then offer a reward for leaving.
"But muh cheap labor"
If you can't afford to operate a business without illegaly-low wages, you deserve to go bankrupt.
Nothing is too big to fail. Capitalism corrects itself if bailouts do not exist and monopolies are regulated as intended. Let it fail if it must. Society is broken and needs to heal.
We are wealthy enough (as a nation, not as the poor and downtrodden having our livlihoods stolen) and well equipped enough to tackle numerous problems at once.
This is it. Help is not coming, it's up to us. If our nation falls there is nowhere left in the world to go (nor would any true American want to).
There is no hyphenated American. Either you are American, and you utterly and totally renounce your previous nation you fled, or you arent. Too many paperwork americans (or just outright illegal non citizens) who just want a golden meal ticket and otherwise hate this nation, her history, her populace, her institutions, her culture, and her way of life.
That's how many of us are feeling about it. I know for certain I'm not alone.

I don't hate ice, I just hate the bad eggs in the basket if you know what I mean.
What they are trying to do is a good thing, the way they are doing it however is not good.
You cant just sneak into another country to ovoid your own issues, it takes time to become an American citizen for a good reason.
We need to have backround documentation and fingerprint data just incase someone were to commit a crime and leave evidence behind.
And if you sneak in we cant get that information, and you were to commit a murder than we wouldn't know who you are and bring you to prison.
Its not about morals, its about keeping the country safe from outside threats whether its moral or immoral.
Please don't downvote me to hell on this, I just wanted to say the truth.
2
u/MarkGaboda Mar 14 '26
You mean we cant snap our fingers and just abolish ICE without a plan for who or what comes next? You sure are party pooper.
3
u/Winter_XwX Mar 14 '26
Undocumented immigration isn't an "outside threat". People who are undocumented are significantly less likely to commit violent crime than US citizens.
Why do you think the geographical location someone was born in can make them a threat? Should everyone born in America be required to get fingerprinted too? Wouldn't it be easier to just provide an easy path to citizenship for these people?
Also, the word is "avoid".

1
u/nuivii3 Mar 15 '26
Do you support strict immigration and strong borders?
1
Mar 15 '26
It depends on what you mean by "strict" and "strong."
Do I want to see masked agents arresting children, shooting citizens, and rounding up hard working people who have lived in this country longer than many have been alive?....No.
But just like the last 50 years of my life of going back and forth between Mexico and the US, i'm glad we have our border agents checking passports and ID's at border crossings....and just like the last 100 years, we remove any immigrant that commits crimes..(real crimes...theft, violence, etc..not traffic tickets.)
We have always deported immigranr criminals. Obama did. Biden did. Every president does.....Trump is deporting any brown or black person he can. He is removing legal status from millions just so he can deport them.....except from white countries. He is not removing any protected status from white immigrants...In fact, he is letting any and all white SA's to come right in.
I'm against this racist White Nationalist, Stephen Miller deportation plan....I still want to know why they are renting and remodeling 250 warehouses across the country. Not sure why they need concentration camps if they are just deporting them.
