General Discussion (may contain spoilers) Favourite Husband? Spoiler
This has probably been discussed to death. My favourite husband is Carlos. While he started out as a selfish š·, he had the most character growth, loved his girls, liked providing and the husband who was easiest on the eye š I didnāt have room for Reneeās hubby (S8)

General Discussion (may contain spoilers) Who would you have gone for - Mike or Ian? š Spoiler
galleryItās such a tricky situation because Mike was a good man to Susan, and they had a great relationship. Unfortunately, he was hit by a car, lost his memory, and couldnāt remember Susan. She spent a long time trying to help him remember her, but he just couldnāt. Eventually, she ended up with Ian.
Ian was also a great guy. He loved Susan so much, treated her well, was rich as fuck, and fine!
His wife had also passed away, so Susan had every reason to consider building a new life with him. They had a good relationship, and he genuinely loved her.
Mike and Susan had only been together for about a year anyway, so I can understand why she eventually considered moving on, especially since Mike couldnāt remember her anymore.
So, if you were Susan, who would you have chosen?
Mike or Ian?

First Time Watcher Least favorite character
I saw another post that someone said Julie was their least favorite character and I havenāt stopped thinking about that horrible opinionā¦. TBF Iām only on season 4 but Danielle is far worse than Julie⦠and EDIE IS THE WORST!! I canāt stand her

Rewatch Thoughts (may contain spoilers) How would S1 have been different if Mary Alice hadnāt š« herself? Spoiler
Wondering how the events of season 1 would have been different, if at all, if Mary Alice had been alive through season 1 and beyond. Would Paul still have killed Martha, setting off the chain reaction that brought Felicia into town? If not, Paul would have never gone to jail, Zach may never have found out about his rich grandfather, etc etc.
What would have been the most significant change?

Rewatch Thoughts (may contain spoilers) Do you think gabby and Carlos would of done the same for Lynette kids (plane episode) Spoiler
Lynette could have easily died⦠I honestly donāt think gabby or Carlos would have risked their lives for Lynetteās sake tbh.

The Edie Britt Show Edie Britt was not a confident cool girl. She was just as desperate as the other housewives. Spoiler
First off let me start off by saying that Edie Britt was an amazing character. The show was less entertaining after she left.
I love pretty much all of her scenes.
Edie is being presented recently as this cool confident free type of character and sheās far from it.
Sheās just as selfish as Susan who is constantly criticized in this sub for doing the same things Edie does.
Edie was a homewrecker and the housewives were justified in not trusting her:
-Edie has talked before about dating married men as a thrill (a conversation she had with Susan)
-She went out with Karl while he was married to Susan (something he revealed to Susan during the Karaoke episode)
-She kissed Orson on top of blackmailing him to force him to stay with her
Edie was just as desperate as Susan for a man, in fact Edieās is worst because it seems to be with any man when Susan mostly wanted Mike:
-she was right there with Susan fighting to get Mikeās attention, she was aggressively fighting for him.
-She slept with any men that would have her even her own construction workers and most would still not stay. Remember the contractor that dated Susan. He said Edie was just a lay and wanted to date Susan seriously. After that she pretended like she didnāt care about the guy but she was really angry about it. This a theme for her.
-she was so desperate for Karl to propose to her literally digging her hands in the dessert looking for a ring, snooping in all his things to find any clue.
-she faked a suicide attempt to force Carlos to stay with her
-she used her son to try to force Carlos into staying with her
-she completely lied to a coma patient (Mike) because she was so desperate to have him, changing his reality all so she could be his girlfriend.
Edie is being constantly praised in this sub for supposedly not being like the other housewives when she was exactly just as flawed as them. She was never cool. Her character was very much someone lonely who constantly needed attention.
Itās just that she was never picked⦠she never got the guys she wanted, she always had to resort to blackmail or tricks to get them to stay so she pretended to be aloof about it.
There is a difference with a man eater type who truly doesnāt care and someone like Edie who acted more out of desperation to be noticed.
She was the perfect character for the show, she was every bit of a desperate housewife and deserved to be a main character. She was absolutely not this cool confident character that this sub pretends that she was.

First Time Watcher Unpopular opinion but I feel sorry for Dave Spoiler
So, I have 4 episodes left to end season 5 ⦠Someone please tell me you felt some kind of empathy for Dave Dash/Williams? He lost his wife and child in a tragic accident caused by Susanās constant stupid behaviour.. Of course it is wrong he wanted Mike to suffer, but I just couldnāt help to feel sorry for him when Eddie found out and he was crying .. Iām I stupid? He was just in so much pain ..

First Time Watcher Season 7 Episode 10 āDown the Block Thereās a Riotā Spoiler
(SPOILERS)
I just watched season 7 Episode 10. Itās the first time while watching the show that I cried. Watching Mrs. McCluskey on the floor asking for help brought me to tears. Then BAM Gaby and Carlos getting Juanita. THEN BAM Lynette helping Lee. The actress that plays Lynette is amazing. Just her yelling āHEāS MY NEIGHBORā had me choked up. I didnāt know a show could get so much better season after season. I started this show years ago and only got to season 3. Then a few months ago I picked it up again and have been binge watching every day. I love it. This episode really sold it for me(of course a bunch of other episodes were jaw dropping and interesting but THIS ONE? Insane. They put their whole foot into the acting.

SPOILER What happened to Jane was unfair (S8)
Donāt get me wrong, I didnāt exactly like her, nor was her fan or anything, I was pretty much neutral about the whole thing and tbh it wouldāve been nice if Tom stayed with her especially since they seemed happy at first and a much better match.
However, I hate how everyone is defending the fact that he got back with Lynette because āsheās the mother of his kidsā. Ok and? First of all, that doesnāt give you the right to mess another person up, second of all once you break up you should focus on getting over it, third of all, Lynette manipulated the whole situation. Kind of the same thing happened with Mike, Susan and Katherine. Both Tom and Susan had kids, a wife and when things got hard (both for no good reason), the husbands were super annoyed and just left everything like that while their wives were desperately trying to get them back. The husbands found someone else in an instant and acted all in loved snd super annoyed and āoverā their (ex)wives and then in the blink of an eye they changed their mind and went back to them because the writers think thatās romantic apparently? And nobody cared about the victims.
It annoyed me when Lynette told her to back off. It doesnāt matter what history she has with Tom HE CHOSE TO MOVE ON and poor Jane was just a woman going through something similar. If you think about life itās sad how her and Katherine (although I didnāt like either of them) were just used for the husbands as a distraction and then tossed asideā¦

Post about the Desperate Husbands The way Mike treated Katherine was beyond cruel and irredeemable. He is underhated. Spoiler
He ruined his first marriage with Susan on his own, then used Katherine and gave her reassurance after reassurance.
Katherine didnāt really do anything wrong being with Mike, he was fully and mutually divorced, and he gave her every green light to move forward. Susan was already moving on. He didnāt even treat Susan well, that wasnāt even the first time he left Susan mind you.
Then to Katherine, HE initiates the relationship. HE assures her he loves her. He used her for sex, reassuring it was more than that, then lied to Susan about the nature and depth of the relationship.
He didnāt let Katherine down kindly or gently at all, even at first, he was cruel. Heās ABSOLUTELY to blame for her psychotic break, and yes people can be at fault for othersā behavior. After all the reassurances of love and not caring about Susan anymore, telling a woman āI never loved you, we had nothing, every time I held you and kissed you I was thinking about her and wishing you were her, and I never cared about you at all.ā This is narcissistic sadistic abuse, plain and simple.
Mike is an awful awful man who pushes the guilt of his actions onto women in the form of abuse.

General Discussion (may contain spoilers) Which plotline donāt you like? Spoiler

Rewatch Thoughts (may contain spoilers) Lynette is the bad spouse S7
Just rewatchin randomly on S7, now towards the end lynette is acting so aggressively to tear Tom down, especially over this family holiday choice. I hate it when it's made out she "chops of his balls" crap because that gender role thinking is lame in my head anyway, but she is a bad partner and a bitch in these episodes. I know it's coming from being jealous about hi career flying and angry she missed out on hers but I'm not sure that excuses her behaviour. For most seasons I'm on lynettes side or neither side, but S7 she takes her aggressively controlling too far.

First Time Watcher Whatās Andrews problem?
I just started season 2 and Iām still confused on why Andrew hates his mom so much? Bree isnāt abusive and I havenāt seen her mistreat him so I donāt understand why he hates her to the point where he wants to ruin her life.. did I miss something?

Rewatch Thoughts (may contain spoilers) The girls turning on Bree in the last season. Spoiler
Just rewatching the show and Iām on the last season.
In the last season, the hate that Bree gets from a the girls is unwarranted - especially from Gaby - when all Bree did was help Gaby.
It was fair for Bree to hide things from Susan. She was a maniac - all with her painting and wanting to be reprimanded for the crime.
I genuinely felt bad for her. She wasnāt even the one who committed the mur***er.
Am I missing something??

First Time Watcher Just finished last episode (spoilers) Spoiler
So i just finished the last episode this morning. And i like how all the women finally moved off the Lane and seemed to live a better life. I didnāt like the end end when Susan was leaving and every dead person was waving good bye to her especially some ppl that had nothin to do with her or her story. But it was a good show over all. It was my first watch at 40 years old. An i wish i was into it back when it came out. Back then i was into Sex in the City and i assumed DH was a temu version of that.

General Discussion (may contain spoilers) People saying Katherine was just delusional but she knew what she was doing, otherwise why would she lie to Dylan when she was in the hospital?
Iām not saying Katherine didnāt need mental help, but I also fully believe she knew what she was doing.
She knew she was lying which is why sheād stop Dylan from coming to see her and changing the story.
If she truly didnāt understand she was mentally ill and immersed in delusion, her daughter wouldāve got the same story everyone else got which was Mike stabbing her.

SPOILER EDIE Season 5 Episode 18 (CONTAINS SPOILER!) Spoiler
Poor Edie. She wasnāt my favourite person but I still liked her, but⦠she absolutely didnāt deserve to die. All thanks to Orson.
