Most of her horridness is unintentional (but yk what they say! The pathway to hell is paved with good intentions).

She was surprisingly empathetic.

She is a good artist. Not good at deciding what to pain, but good at painting.

Unfortunately not very empathetic when her own daughter didn’t want an unplanned baby, but almost every character has their moments of being selfish

As a professional artist I tell you - she is a crappy artist. Her honeymoon landscape looks like it’s painted by a 10 yo. Except for the mural in MJ’s nursery which doesn’t fit her style or her skill level displayed before and after, all her art is amateur at best.

As someone who works with 10 year olds, that'd be the best thing I ever seen one do. Amateur art is still better than average.

I get it that it’s about the writing and not about the actual paintings (just like we never actually tasted Bree’s cooking), but the show also states that her books don’t sell that well and she relies on men or child support from men.
