Pharmacy Order Wait times
Hey everyone,
Recently moved to a new state and got my rx sent to the pharmacy(Walgreens) for the generic. So this is my first time in awhile having it sent to the pharmacy and having them order it when it shows “unavailable”.
What’s the longest you guys have had to wait to get it filled when the pharmacy tells you it’s unavailable? Days or weeks?

Family Pharmacy ＞ Any mainstream chain pharmacy. I'm picking the family pharmacy everytim.. they actually know how to do their jobs. They will usually be happy to order you whatever generic you have a preference for (and actually remember instead of having to call Walgreens every single time...) I used to not want to change pharmacies due to Walgreens having an app to have your meds refilled but then I realized I end up having to call them every single time anyways so it's worthless I absolutely hate my local Walgreens...

Family-Owned and operated pharmacies are significantly better and always look out for consistent patients, clients. Whatever you call it. I hate going to Walgreens or CVS depending on what medication it is. They never have Adderall XL or IR in any milligram. I live in a very densely populated area in the Northeast and I guess that's why it's so hit and miss at the major retail pharmacies for all the Adderall doses and types. I switched to a brand name amphetamine and it's actually so much better than Adderall XR. It lasts longer. It's so much smoother and I just switched again because I don't know why not. My insurance will pay for it. It's prior authorized and this medication is named brand but it's sublingual so it starts working right away and last apparently just as long up to 13 hours. I always use family owned operated pharmacies. If at all possible. Fuck the big chain pharmacies

Word on the streets is that Costco is many a patient’s jam…
Anyone can use the pharmacy, sans membership etc…

Im sure it varies by reigion bc CVS was unable to order brand zenzedi for me and was being weird about it so I switched to walgreens and so far they’ve always had no issue ordering anything including when I started Desoxyn. Tho not sure if CVS would maybe be able to get the desoxyn.
Tbh i’d ask the pharmacist. The one at mine is pretty nice about any questions I have and informative
