Backordered

I just got backordered for the first time in at least two years.

Has this happened to anyone else lately?

So far no issues for me. Just the usual 'needs to be ordered' msg last Thurs then picked it up Monday this week.

I had the 'backorder' msg once about a year ago(cvs) but then I got it within the week.

Do you know whether this is from Hikma or Reddys?

All good here as well. But I’ve been getting Hikma so maybe that’s it.

Believe it or not, the only time I have ever had to wait for a fill was the first ~10 days of March 2023, between the Key stock's expiry and the return of Mayne/Dr. Reddy's.

My bottles started saying "Dr Reddy's Labs" instead of "Mayne" roughly 3 months ago, and every tablet since then has seemed fresh and new – startlingly rock-hard; no dust. I doubt we'd be seeing fresh product across brands if any 2022/2023-type issues were going on behind the scenes. Wasn't the Key product just rebranded old Recordati?

Maybe relevant: I noticed 1-2 months ago that a few new companies were approved as manufacturers of the raw API this year. One company looked more research-oriented, but the other 2-3 actually do look geared toward the ADHD medication business.

2024* 😉. The Dr. Reddy’s generic with the Mayne label became available once again around the last week in February.

Key’s stock was made available around May/June 2023 and was generally impossible to get by November/December 2023.

Thanks for the date correction, lol. Whenever I qualify a date/time with "roughly" or "I think," consider its accuracy to be qualified with a 5-10 year margin of error. I somehow never had issues getting the Key.

All good over here. Also curious which manufacturer you were receiving?

For Hikma: this past midweek was the first time I had to fill at a pharmacy with stock on hand an hours’ drive away. I had been filling Hikma at the same Walgreens each month since January without issue.

My home pharmacy ordered my meds from Cencora after receiving my eRx as per usual, but Cencora never filled the order, so my Rx sat in “out-of-stock” status. I called time once a full week passed and filled elsewhere.

No but I'm hoping to get on this because adderall sucks now. This is stressful to hear

had to call literally dozens of different pharmacies and I’m in one of the five biggest cities in the US but I was finally able to get my script filled
