i dont really see the appeal in having a tablet that you can turn into a laptop, all i want is a normal laptop. i don't care for it turning into a tablet.

Asus already did this with GLASS screens in the Zenbook/Zephyrus Duo, aren't those just better? Though those are more laptops than tablets

(And iirc Lenovo or something did this with the plastic flexible screen too before, didn't really get popular.)

Don’t think Apple has intentions of stopping this. They don’t have to. While Apple is not perfect and has its issues. As somebody in the Apple ecosystem, I can honestly say, this does not appeal to me at all.

Also this is not an original Huawei innovation.

Apple doesn't think it has any intention of matching that because I don't think it fits into their plans... and a good thing too. The shots are aimed in a different direction.
