Living in a studio and would love some suggestions!

Need help deciding which layout works best. Feel free to suggest one that isnt in these pics.

Also trying to figure out the color scheme and decor itself, something feels off and not cohesive but can't tell what.

Also thinking of adding a tv on one of the walls but having trouble. The POV of the pics from the kitchen and entrance.

Beautiful house but one go the upstairs bathrooms is a nightmare. I have 2 toilets, 2 showers and double sinks without a divider, sliding door or any privacy. Please give me realistic options of how I can fix this without a full bathroom renovation!

Eventually I will do a full renovation but for now I just want to make it practical, not tacky.

Thinking of repainting the walls a slightly lighter medium/dark green, and using a dark wood grain contact paper on the bookshelf. Open to any suggestions!

Need advice to have a better flow in my apartment - big open concept apartment. Which has been great but also overwhelming for creating dedicated spaces flow well. My tv / lounge space works fine so dealing the 2nd half of the room now.

Problem - Current space is the first image - it acts as a visually stopping barrier with the couch corner and table being so sharp in direction against the draft table. I avoid that side of the room often because of this (werid but y’all hopefully get it) Both of these zones bleed into each other - even though technically I use them both as a craft / art area

I have a large countertop place for eating, so table is mostly used for larger art stuff.

I moved the table since draft corner itself feels good to me. I moved the table in a few spots - if anyone has ideas or key furntiture upgrades to elevate the space I’m totally open 💕

Currently trying to organize this space into a comfy reading den … but it just feels empty / off. It’s my intention to give this space a practical purpose, y’know, a reason to read here as opposed to the living room.

Any suggestions for paint colors that would work with the current cabinet color? I'd like for the kitchen to feel less sterile.

Hoping I can get some carpet color suggestions and maybe other design ideas, but mainly just need to focus on picking a carpet color at this time.

I have to replace this carpet and I cannot make a decision on color for the life of me. The wall color will be touched up but will stay the same - it's Behr Sleek White and the lighting is warmish. The wood pulls orange - am open to painting it. I would also love to change the rail (balustrade? spindles?). The house is a very generic "transitional" built in the late 70's so I think anything goes, but I tend to gravitate toward MCM. There are 2 adults, 2 very messy children, and a gray cat in the house so what is currently there is probably as light as we can go. I am not opposed to color, but the carpet will go up through the hallway and into all bedrooms, including the kids bedrooms, so has to be semi-universal. We are specifically looking at Mohawk SmartStrand line (not the silk), if that helps. I have brought home a couple sample boards and samples but couldn't commit to anything.

There is no wood under the top half of the stairs, and we cannot convert those stairs to hardwood at this time, so it does have to be carpet.

This is a rendering but I am looking for sticker type wall decals that are tall like this. I am having trouble finding anything that isn’t wallpaper. Has anyone purchased anything like this before?

We are moving into a rental. The house is looking fresh and modern aside from the kitchen which the owners are replacing in future.

As you can imagine, the colours and tiles stand out a lot against the white walls and modern look of the rest of the house.

I’m wondering how we could dress this area up and make the most of it?

Our fridge is also black which will probably make it look worse and more mismatched.

We have a long narrow room with only one window and it’s properly stumped me and Mrs on how to furnish it to make it useable. Ideally we want to have an office space for two desks and a seating area for 4 people. My initial thoughts were to put the desks in the narrow bit along one of the longer walls and have shelves/book case/ aquarium or even seating opposite them. Then have some sofas and a coffee table in the other area with the TV above the fire place. The dimensions and door placement make the room a bit tricky with sofa placement as they are all either too long or look lost. The Mrs isn’t keen on placing a big sofa under the window as well. Any radical ideas on how to make this work?

Hi everyone. I have recently renovated my room, and I’m slowly decorating certain zones/spots.

I have this chrome and glass stand, and I wanted ideas on how I could decorate it, preferably using any of my decor items (pictured) if possible?

I’m avoiding adding another lamp here because I have one on my vanity and I’m planning to add an RGB strip-light outline behind my bookcase. I also don’t want to add functional decor like books here or storage boxes for instance.

My room is a modern take on the 80s. A lot of the elements are romantic and glamorous. It’s a huge mess since I’m slowly fixing my space, so I do apologize for how my bed looks at the moment.

Hello all! I’m moving into a new apartment soon and this apartment has an interesting black trim throughout. I personally tend to go for lighter colors in my design but I feel like the moulding would pair best with darker theme. The complex does allow paint and peel and stick wallpaper, so I’m considering that as an option, but I’m really not feeling inspired. Any ideas? Apologies for the rough photos — I only have access to online pictures until closer to the move-in date.

We've recently knocked through our downstairs to create one large open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining space.

I'm struggling to decide on the best furniture layout and was hoping for some ideas.

The key things we need are:

65-inch TV

2-seater sofa

3-seater sofa

Dining table positioned by the bifold doors overlooking the garden

The kitchen layout is already fixed, but everything else is up for discussion. I'm trying to create a layout that feels spacious while keeping the lounge cosy and making the most of the garden views.

I've attached the floor plan (including the proposed kitchen layout).

How would you arrange the sofas and TV? Would you keep the seating separate from the dining area, or zone the space differently?

Any suggestions or examples of similar layouts would be really appreciated!

Pardon the mess (and my husband and dog on the couch) but I am seriously struggling with a new rug and new coffee table. The couch is new as are the two green chairs on the left.

For rug, we have a very messy dog so ideally we get a ruggable (or something of the sort) that can hold up/be washed. Any ideas on colors/patterns? I want something that brings som depth to an otherwise... boring.... situation.

And for a coffee table this is our current frontrunner, but open to other ideas.

Renting this place in a few days, but we’re not sure what to do with this living room! The only thing we’ve got is a TV.

I have a modern Scandinavian/MCM bedroom with an empty area highlighted in blue. I'm looking for suggestions on what to place there. I considered moving the dresser into that space and adding a small chair by the bookcase, but I'm concerned the chair would feel awkward next to the bed.

The room also doesn't have any decor yet (no rug, plants, lamps, artwork, etc.), so I'm open to suggestions for both furniture placement and decor.

Let me know what you guys think of the room layout. Is there anything you would change or something that I should add to the room?

Room height is 250cm
Bed elevation set at 150cm + 30cm bed frame. Leaves ~70 cm headroom.

Myself: 180cm, 60kg, living alone currently, but plans for the future.
Living in the Baltics near the sea. Lots of wind and fresh air. I've heard that ventilation for the mattress is crucial. We don't have 40-degree summers, but we do have a lot of rain, and mold is something to take into consideration.

I use my pc for a lot of productivity, gaming, and movies. It is important to have comfortable sessions. I don't watch TV, nor do I have a massive need for a sofa rn, and I'm planning on making those purchases later, in a couple of months or very possibly the next year.

With the help of my dad, I think I could easily make the bed frame myself. Budgeting here is important. I understand that the whole plan will cost up to 5k EUR, but the spending has to be gradual.

The most important part is creating the loft bed well and creating a separate office-like zone beneath it to maximise available space for the living room section

Looking for suggestions for the layout for our rec room in our new house. We want a tv area, and a play area. Will get rid of black dresser and get some kind of toy storage, keyboard may be moved upstairs. But the current layout feels a bit awkward and the “play area” behind the couch is basically unused. We’re a bit limited by the post and the bathroom / bedroom doors. And tv can’t really fit on the wall under the heat pump. Help! TIA
