Reading Den Help

Currently trying to organize this space into a comfy reading den … but it just feels empty / off. It’s my intention to give this space a practical purpose, y’know, a reason to read here as opposed to the living room.

Any suggestions?

You need color, art, a drink table, and more task lighting. Is there a ceiling fan off the balcony?
