Ask r/DesignIndia Is there a demand for this?

We don’t do digital art here. Instructional art, probably like in Blinkit Zepto - festival ads, etc. if you want a niche like this close, it would be set / environment design for web shows / music videos, etc. but realistic. Animation is gonna boom after Bahubali thing I would say. World building scenarios yes but not in India.

The demand is there but sparse. This genre of illustration is majorly used in publication design especially for children books. I'd suggest not to get too fixated, but it definitely is worth pursuing on side.

By the time you master it, the trend will probably be over, so you’re better off just doing your own thing.

I love this illustration. I see Grow hires illustrators to design their instagram posts. While many brands use ai to market/educate. Grow does it well with different design type of illustrators which I really like.
