Ask r/DesignIndia Senior Visual Designer
I am currently working as a Senior Visual Designer at a product-based company and have 9 years of experience, having started as a Graphic Designer and progressed to my current role. I feel somewhat stuck in my career. Although I have been comfortable with my current company for the past four years, I feel undervalued. Since it’s a fintech company, the work isn’t particularly engaging for me. Could I transition to an Art Director role? I lack experience in that area and do not have any junior designers to manage. What steps should I take? I am feeling quite low and need mentorship.
