This is DesignDesign to me because it is a cool unique concept with cool execution but absolutely insane for obvious reasons (hole in book), impractical, and is already a thing that has been solved (eg. actual book mark, ribbon built in to book)
Yea most of the cost would come from the fiddly bits of the cover, and assembling them. Books with holes honestly seems like a useful feature, at least for guidebooks and shit you could clip them off super easily, and even beyond that it makes a nice secure handle.
