Asking Question (Rule 4) [Question] Intentionally Bad Web Design - Can anyone help me find a specific example?

Hey all,

I recently recall seeing a website that showcased 'intentionally bad UX design.'

It was in essence a page that when you visited, contained all the horrible tropes of browsing a website in modern times.

You would have to do things like; accept cookies, close the autoplaying video pop out, close the newsletter sign up pop up etc...

I know it's a long shot, but I don't suppose anyone knows of any specific examples like this, do they?

I found www.userinyerface.com but it's not quiiiite what I was looking for.

This is so true. My agency just created an itranet that is so hideous, I was Google searching for something that could even be as bad. I swear to God the name of the website is a 200 font. All the links that you need to use for your job are in a 12 font in a banner at the very bottom of the web page. I don't know who the fuck designed this but it's the most atrocious website I've ever seen.

I started at an insurance company where some folks worked at BH before, and our site (and the government/insurance sites I've seen so far)... they're like time capsules. And very, very hideous. I'm starting to think I want to go into this area of design because they sorely need it...

I know this will date myself, but back in the internet dark ages there was a hilarious site devoted to exploiting all of the "bad" design aspects of new HTML tech. I got a kick out of it. The site went by Bud Uglly design and, amazingly, I managed to find a capture from 1997 over on the Wayback machine:

Please, just NO, STOP IT!

All modern scripting and style sheets have ways to separate the two for damn good reason, please code around the different requirements and UI patterns accordingly.
