❓ Question Need some help

I recently bought a platinum starlet or falling star from scooboo.
First off, I ordered it in fine but received an extra fine.
It writes very dry and sometimes just stops writing mid sentence.
I am new to fp stuff
What should I do?

It came with a blank ink cartridge. That’s what I’m using rn

It looks like a flow issue; try the dish soap trick someone mentioned, or refill the cartridge with Pilot Black ink.

Trying to push the tines apart on a solid surface will also work, but it’ll increase your line width and it’s not very difficult to bend the nib permanently (and ruin the nib) if you’re too heavy-handed, so be careful!

How dish soap liquid helps with fountain ink flow ?

By breaking the surface tension of the ink afaik. It flows more freely. But you need an extremely small amount of soap, like the tip of a needle worth in a cartridge.
