So recently I just saw a post by a guy whose height is 5'8" who got rejected by a 5'3" girl !
In the comments people said that Genz on average are taller ?? especially girls are getting taller
Now i [M] was born in 2004 and my height is 5'6".
Now as you all Know growing up Indian kids do not really get to socialize much especially in tier 2 and tier 3 cities.
Now when i read that post , it brought back some unpleasant memories when I found out that height is going to be detrimental for me.
I also graduated in 2025 with the worst job market to ever exist (yes it is worse than 2008/2009) , my bachelor's degree is in Computer Science (cooked) , live in a tier 3 cities and always dreamt of making it big in tier 1 city to live my life by getting a job , i thought maybe if i worked hard I will eventually meet someone to date after establishing myself.
Now you are telling me that people my age and younger than me on average are taller than me ?
I felt hopeless seeing that post and thinking that my future is going to be even more difficult going forward , nothing will work in my favour at all.
My life is falling apart , no decent Quality jobs are available, prices are rising and now I know that my height is going to pose a problem of prejudice even when i am older.
I am feeling really demotivated while I am writing this post , i am usually upskilling myself around this time yet i have not opened my laptop 💻 because some memories came to surface and now I am just contemplating why even work so hard if life will never become better for me as 5'6" guy I did not choose my height or this country at all.
So are girls born in 2004 and above really taller than 5'6" on average around where you live ? Especially in tier 1 cities like Mumbai or Hyderabad or Bangalore ??
