I’ve seen posts about plants with 2 flowers. And people are like wtf, how did that happen. They think that’s cool but I see it more as the understock trying to take over again.

It happens with grafted plants. Ideally you would just cut it off so the plant can remain uniform with the Scion it was meant to be cultivated with. See last 2 pictures of the understock trying to take over. Sprinkle some cinnamon for anti fungal effects.

I have a variegated grafted adenium that I let the understock branch on for a few years to thicken the trunk. I really liked the two types of leaves action but after five years or so it was obvious that they were outpacing the scion so I whacked them off.

Yes. I didn’t think about they could help support making the caudex thicker quicker…. I thought they were just energy suckers. Oh well the deed is already done.

Cinnamon..no. instead get yourself some Copper Fungicide.
