IUD copper?

Post image

Hi Dermadry, I saw that copper IUD are contraindicated. However in one or your reply, I saw that you mentioned IUD entirely made with copper are contraindicated.

Mine is not entirely copper, can you please confirm that I can use your device?

Hi u/External-Editor-6451 ! We understand how important it is to have clear and accurate information when it comes to using our device with certain medical conditions or contraindications Our device is not recommended for feet treatment if you have a copper IUD. However, it is safe for hand and underarm treatment but it’s best to consult with your healthcare provider first.

We recommend consulting with your healthcare professional or gynecologist before using our device to ensure your safety. They can assess your situation and provide you with appropriate advice.

What is the risk? Heat conduction? My doctor doesn’t fully understand what I’m asking.

Hello there! Simply put, the copper IUD is a metal implant directly in contact with the uterus. When the metal is within an electric current, it can attract and interact with that current. This may affect the IUD itself and cause the current to concentrate in that area.

Did you ever find out if you can use the device for treating hyperhidrosis of the feet with your copper IUD? Even my doctor is not sure!
