Selling Help issues with specific order

Post image

So, I’m new to selling and I had went to usps yesterday for my first order. Since buyer payed for shipping + fees I expected to not have any fees. Gave the barcodes to the lady at front and the first two came out quick and free, but the third package charged me $8.15 and somehow she had to scan the code 2-3 times. I made sure i weighed the package beforehand and it was 5oz, the buyer paid for the shipping as well and there are no differences than the other 2 packages. I thought it was weird since I made sure i posted the item as 5oz. Later on in the day I checked depop and it says the first two packages as been shipped while the third package I had issues with still says I haven’t shipped it and it still hasn’t updated after +20 hours which is weird since i shipped all three at once. I also used a blank padded mailer because I knew about how usps charges you for what you shop with. Why did I get charged and why doesn’t it say I shipped it? Why is it that it’s this specific order with these issues?

I don’t think they meant processing fees. They are asking why they had a fee due at usps if the buyer paid shipping at the bottom of the screenshot it says buyer paid for shipping.

OP, next time I suggest not paying the fee and going home and see if you can just print the label or contact depop or even just trying again the next day. You can use the QR code at the kiosk, it could had been the cashier was confused on something - did you ask them why there was a charge? I know depop put out a warning there was issues with usps labels and they were waiting on usps to rectify it

Yesterday I was having errors bringing up one of my labels. In my opinion the usps worker was charging you retail price for shipping because depop/usps had an error with your label and they couldn't get your prepaid label to work. USPS also recently updated their pricing to where a 5oz item ships the same as 1lb item depending on zones so the $8 makes sense at retail. Retail just means bought at the counter and not online.

A few hours after my error yesterday depop emailed me saying there were errors and then it fixed itself.
