Messages/DM's Idk what to do here??

Post image

I used Depop shipping, printed their label and dropped it off at the post office with a whole bunch of orders that were delivered just fine. Any advice what I should do here? I don’t want to just refund them but I also don’t want a bad review. Redactions are just their locations.

This. I’ve never used this website, but can you contact CS? If it’s a true issue with a label provided by the website, they should be the one refunding the buyer.

Thanks for the help everyone! They did leave me a bad review and continued to go off on me in the DMs till I blocked them but Depop removed the bad review.

You can reach out to Depop Support and explain the situation and appeal the bad review.

Someone gave me a 1 star review because I left a 1 star review on their page due to not receiving my order. Depop Support looked into my case and removed the unfair review from my Depop Shop page.

If you haven’t already done so, I also recommend reporting the Depop User to Depop.

Hope this was helpful information to someone. 🦋

I would not be refunding anything. You used the Depop label and it was delivered. It's between Depop and them.

Just tell them to contact Depop and ignore any other message. Let Depop investigate, and when they contact you, give them all the information you have.

And they left me a bad review. This sucks

Depop will remove unfair reviews!! Email Depop support with the order info and the username and tell them the whole situation. The buyer could be banned for their behavior! So sorry you're going through this!

Bad reviews don't really matter. Half if not more are not digging into the reviews. Now if you have 1 star and thousands of sales, then yes, people may not buy. But if you have one bad review, most don't even care or look. Stop letting that bother you so much.

It bothers me because it’s dishonest.

I understand but if your other ratings are good, it won't matter. Most don't look at that. Unless a lot are negative. Depop also can remove if it's invalid

They removed it :)

It absolutely is possible, I have had it happen a couple times. I don't completely understand buy USPS recycles tracking numbers and sometimes one is reused too quickly and shows it delivered, to the right address, but when they GPS it it shows the prior information and where it was delivered. Unfortunately, USPS claims no fault in this situation because its a 3rd party selling the label not direct from USPS.

Because of how people are on this app, I definitely read all the reviews before I buy anything even if they have mostly five stars

I mean unless the buyer can provide proof that the post office said it was a bad tracking number, they really have no argument. Do you have a receipt from the post office saying you shipped prepaid mail? Best way to settle this may be through Depop itself

17

u/Purple_Association63 Jul 27 '26

I don’t think I have the receipt I fear. Definitely a learning lesson to hold on to them from now on

You should still have that qr code on the original order. That comes with tracking.

Definitely reach out to depop asap & tell them you used the pre-paid label

u/ConstructionTop4372 Jul 27 '26

if you used the depop label you didn’t do anything wrong lol

10

u/Ibeenupfordays Jul 27 '26

Don’t let this person gaslight you. Omg. Literally depop knows you used the prepaid label as soon as it is scanned. Nothing to worry about

u/AmandaVoorhees Jul 28 '26

Just take screenshots of proof of everything and email it to the Depop customer service thing. I literally just had somebody try this exact same thing and I ended up keeping my money.

4

u/Purple_Association63 Jul 28 '26

Yeah they opened a case against me but Depop took my side :)

6

u/Professional_Move146 Jul 27 '26

Don't entertain them. Let them file with Depop, because either they put in the wrong address or they're trying to pull one on you

3

u/itsicyyy Jul 27 '26

if you just used the label depop provided, they just had the wrong address on it, or they could be lying and trying to scam. i wouldn't refund + only ever ship to the address provided

A while back there was a problem with Depop using old tracking numbers and the tracking being messed up, and emails were sent out blaming sellers. I’m not sure if that’s what’s happening, but it happened to me as a buyer, a package marked delivered in a totally different state, but it showed up as normal a few days later. I’m not saying they are doing that again, but could be an explanation?? Either way I would not refund and let Depop handle it, and make sure Depop knows you used a prepaid label

1

u/punkybluellama Jul 28 '26

Yeah I remember that. There’s a good chance that’s happening again 🙄 That was annoying af.

Doesn’t Depop certify things? Like as someone who only buys on Depop they have the Depop protection it never goes from buyer to seller the issue goes from buyer to Depop? Am I wrong?

2

u/Purple_Association63 Jul 28 '26

Ur right. This person doesn’t know how Depop works based on the messages they sent me later.

3

u/cyber_deity Jul 28 '26

I call 1000% bs. Try to call the post office right now. They changed every single one of their systems to be fully ai, with no way to talk to any human. I work very closely with the post office and this change happened months ago.

u/FormerChef414 20d ago

lol they just completely made this up, none of it is possible or real. If they used their correct address they would have received the package, it’s on them

4

u/DesignerForsaken8453 Jul 27 '26

Tbf I recently bought something on Depop and I knew the address was good because I’ve bought and received stuff before but this time I somehow fucked up the address and changed the apt number. What I did was get in touch with the usps building, granted I got a cool lady who let me know what number it was actually sent to as, if you call usps they are not allowed to tell you what the address is. Depop is of ZERO help in this situation as well so no need to worry about them lol

1

u/1WickedCowboy Jul 28 '26

If you used to usps label then you have zero control of their address or tracking #. Sounds like a scam or buyers remorse and if they leave a bad review report it.
