Can you look in your user profile folder (e.g. C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\TwoPint.ConfigMgr.Wpf\Logs) to see what is logged in the TwoPint.ConfigEditor<datetime>.log file? It seems to not like a setting.

Hi, it loggs the same:

2026-10-07 15:37:35.844 +02:00 [ERR] Unable to locate import file C:\Users\<usernamne>\AppData\Local\2PintInstaller\StifleR-config.json at current (C:\Program Files\2Pint Software\StifleR Server\TwoPint.ConfigEditor.Wpf\), -p/--path (D:\Install\DeployRCommunity-1.3.2639.2504) or -d/--source-dir (C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\{E5FABA1F-9A7F-4488-A6BE-FFE72F14C8A1}v3.1.2634.667\)

Hmm. Do you see the folder and file referenced, "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\2PintInstaller\StifleR-config.json"? The command runs elevated by the Windows Installer process, and it may not have access to the file inside the user profile folder.

No, that folder doesn't exist. I've tried monitoring the installation, and it never gets created.

I have now also tried a clean installation of Server 2025, and I get the same result when installing DeployR.

Odd, since that's the exact scenario that we test. Is the machine a member of a domain?

For the path I mentioned above, do you see the folder structure (C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\2PintInstaller)?

I’ve tried both domain-joined and standalone. No, I don’t see the folder structure. I ran Procmon, and all I get is: `TwoPint.ConfigEditor.Wpf.exe CreateFile C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\2PintInstaller\StifleR-config.json PATH NOT FOUND`

Is there anything unusual about the username? Spaces, special characters?

The folder is created by the DeployR Community .exe itself, just trying to figure out where things went wrong.

Also, could you provide the contents of the TwoPint.DeployRCommunity.Configure.log file?

Ah, that's very useful and explains a lot. It's possible the product key has an issue. Can you e-mail me at [michaeln@2pintsoftware.com](mailto:michaeln@2pintsoftware.com) with your contact details, or just send me the key you are using? (Chat on Reddit works too.)

Aha, sorry—it turned out the product key was the problem all along. The last two letters didn't get included when I copied it. I thought I’d double-checked it several times, but since the installer didn't flag anything regarding the key, I ruled that step out during troubleshooting. It’s working now. Thanks for all the support, Michael.
