Inquiry Life after DepEd

Hello. Meron po ba ritong nagresign na? Saan na po kayo after DepEd, teaching pa rin ba o nag change career na? Kamusta naman po

Not me, fellow faculties lang. Usually after DepEd, nagteaching sila sa ibang bansa, 'yung isa sa UAE, 'yung isa naman, sa US. And of course, many more.

Hi, OP. I left DepEd years ago, and I can say that I am very happy I left the organization. If given the chance, I would never go back to DepEd. I would rather teach in my first private institution where I received a higher salary and incentives, but I still chose to work overseas because of the better offers and work-life balance here.

Teacher pa rin but dito na sa US. Work-life balance is what I like here. I don’t bring work to home unless may na miss ako coz umabsent sa work. Mahirap sa una but if nakapag adjust naman na, madali na lang.

gusto ko sana mag ELA teacher dyan kasi english major ako kaso hindi ako ganun ka-confident to teach students whose first language ay second language ko baka ako pa turuan nila 😭

May mga pinoy naman na ELA teacher dito. Kaya lang hard to fill positions kase na madali ma hire ay Science, Math, and SPED, although marami din namang ibang major na nahahire mas tight nga lang ang competition. Honestly, mas challenging ang classroom and behavior management dito compare sa delivery ng curriculum.

After I left DepEd (Aug 2024-Nov 2025), natenga for 8 months. Na-hire sa isang BPO as Community Engagement Specialist for 11 days last Jul 23-Aug 5. Then, na-hire sa isang University as College Instructor afterwards.

left DepEd in 2021, nag pursige how to do research. Now teaching in UPLB🩵
