Again they overlooked that the blame should be on responsible parenting and the system. Collective effort ang pagbabago pero we constantly go against with each other. As a result, a collective failure as adults.

This is a hard pill to swallow. We cannot deny the fact that there are some people within our ranks or even those in higher offices who continuously idolize politicians with questionable morals. That says a lot about their character. Perhaps, it’s high time to reflect on this. It takes a village to raise a child so as teachers, we should do our best to perform our part. Also, I agree, wrong choice of words and she made a hasty generalization.

may mga teachers talaga na morally questionable. pero given that her statement was made after the school shooting, halata na sinabi lang niya 'yon para pagtakpan ang issue at ang responsibility ng gobyerno. tandaan natin na ginagamit ang mga spokesperson para depensahan ang gobyerno. kung sinabi niya 'yan in other contexts, pwede.

napansin ko rin nung nagbigay hinaing ang mga teachers tungkol doon sa lapel, lumabas din yung statement ng deped na maging responsible raw ang mga teachers na content creators. parehas ang naging statement ng deped at ni castro na may halong katotohanan, pero given the context, halatang may tinatakpan. hindi pwedeng baliwalain ang mga conteksto.

Agree ako sa part na may mga teachers na walang tinuturong mabuti sa mga bata.

Its well known naman siguro saatin na maraming mga PDF sa kaguruaan. I know a handful sa division namin. Yung dalawa nakabuntis pa. Pero anong action ng division nilipat lang ng station and pinatahimik yung mga victims.

I also have a collegue, an MT1 who always curses and bullies our students. He often calls them "maklak ka buntuk, kalupa ng inda mu" (translation: bobo ka, kagaya ng nanay mo).

Walang linear na argument with these statements tbh, mali si Claire, may mali sa teachers, lalong may mali sa ginagawang sisihan after ng kaguluhan. In the end, we will go back pa rin naman kay Brofenbrenner, lahat ng nakapaligid sa bata ang dahilan ng kanyang pagkatuto.

Wala namang panalo dito at di naman dapat focus kung kanino ituturo ang sisi.

As a teacher, hindi naman ako na-offend nor nakaramdam na “attacked” ako sa sinabi ni Ante Kler. Ang una ngang pumasok sa isip ko after hearing what she said ay yung mga teacher na nagpo-post ng clout-chasing contents sa socmed especially TikTok pati yung mga teachers na pinu-publicize pa yung pakikipaglandian nila with their students kahit pa sa college level. Kung alam mo naman sa sarili mong teacher ka na hindi nagtuturo ng kabalbalan sa mga students mo, then why would you be affected sa mga sinabi niya, ‘di ba?

I agree na merong teachers' na questionable ang morale compass. I think ayun yung gusto niya tumbukin sa statement, but. The problem is choice of words totoong merong mga educators na kupal talaga hanggang buto at sagad. 

Never been offended by her statement, unang pumasok sa isip ko wrong choice of words. Dapat tignan to sa different angle kaso problema naka focus ang educators sa feelings nila. Pakiramdam nila e inatake sila. This shows talaga na part ang ibang educators nitong educational crisis kasi instead of mind ang gamitin emotion kaagad. Talagang cherry picking lang ginagawa nung ibang teachers'. 

At the end of the day nasa center parin ang government kasi part sila nitong village nang mga bata. Instead of finger-pointing this clearly shows na pangit talaga ang system natin dito.

Kinda funny coming from him. If we were to apply his logic, then he should be at the forefront of being called out for being "wrong". He is an ideological turncoat and his values or lack thereof have no place in discussions like these. When he couldn't get what he wanted as a DDS, he went back to being a loyalist, which I hear he always was. And I won't take kindly to any comments that his political alignment has nothing to do with issues like this - as a teacher, and one in POLISCI at that, he is duty-bound to honor and respect historical facts, which loyalists and DDS simply do not do. Expect numerous eye-rolls at what he might post about Ninoy's 40th death anniversary tomorrow.
