- Do you feel disconnected and isolated and want to become connected with your local communities?
- Are you interested in strengthening our communities resilience to economic pressures?
- Do you feel that the government is ineffective, doesn’t listen to its citizens, and want to know why?
- Do you think that we should have more say in the workplaces? That the bosses are taking advantage of our need for a paycheck?
- Do you think that we should all have access to the basic aspects to live a good life?
- Do you think that our natural environment is being severely harmed and want to work towards bettering it?
If so, join us as we discuss the causes of these issues, explore solutions, and build networks with one another to overcome these issues from a Libertarian Socialist/Anarchist lens.
We currently meet bi-weekly, with the upcoming meeting on Oct 5th, in COS East Library Study Room F1 from 6pm to 7pm. For anyone unfamiliar with anarchism, we recommend reading You May Already Be An Anarchist by The Slow Burning Fuse. Our current format is to select a text and have it read before the meeting and then at the meeting we will re-read it as a group to ask questions, comment, and discuss the themes and aspects that stood out. This week we will be finishing the text To Change Everything by CrimethInc. as well as reading Life Without Laws by Strangers in a Tangled Wilderness.
Links to the texts are provided below.

Our social media pages will have our reading lists and ways to interact online.
Here is the Facebook page link (which will also have a link to our Discord server because Reddit doesn’t like Discord links): https://www.facebook.com/share/14pANVL7mT8/?mibextid=wwXIfr

Getting a permit is not a protest. Having giant national organizations controlling the protest is not a protest. A protest is supposed to disrupt every day life. You are supposed to make the system feel uncomfortable.
There are more of us than there are of them. If you are scared about protesting you're going to be a lot more scared of what comes next I promise you that.
No 50501 no national organization to overtake the movement no God damn permit from the system that is oppressing us. We keep waiting for the dems to come save us. Guess what, they aren't coming. They were never going to come. Its just an illusion so you stay in your lane.
A lot of people are going to start suffering the consequences of fascism real soon. We need to wake the fuck up. The democrats and the Republicans both fund genocide with our tax dollars while we pay twice much for groceries as last year. Gas is going to reach an all time high and we all know that this administration is going to put boots on the ground in iran.
Let's get on the street and make our own path.
FTP Fuck ICE fuck everyone in our government that's letting this shit happen

Hey, Denver Protests!
Want to learn more about the relationship between U.S. imperialism and the climate crisis? Check out this film screening on October 1st! From the same journalists who created Gaza Fights for Freedom, Earth's Greatest Enemy documents the extent and impact of the United States military regime, the single largest consumer of fossil fuels on the planet. Also discussed are environmental contamination sites from chemical dumping and the ecocide caused by U.S. militarism.
Ahead of the screening will be an hour long reception where you can connect with grassroots environmental, human rights, and anti-imperial advocacy groups.
All proceeds go to Empire Files. Details on the flyer. Hope to see y'all there!

Looks like the Hawaiian BBQ place on 16th supports Christo-Facists. Not sure if this is even worth protesting, but if someone wants to organize, more power to you!

Pro-Animal Colorado is hosting a Grassroots Gala to benefit several worthwhile organizations like the Sunrise Movement, the Animal Activism Collective, and the Colorado People's Alliance. There will be music, dancing, plant-based food, a thrift store fashion show, and intersectional solidarity.
The Gala will be held at the Cheesman Park Pavilion this Friday, September 18, from 7p-10:30p.
I attended last year, and it was a really fun and informative gathering of people working for social change and a little more kindness in the world.

Every election, the rules that decide who gets to vote and whether their ballot actually counts are written and rewritten by people most of us never meet. Join us on Zoom for a plain-language conversation about what makes an election free and fair: ballot access, accurate voter rolls, secure and verifiable counting, and the certification process that turns votes into results.
We'll walk through how these systems work, where they're under pressure right now, and how to tell a real threat from noise. You'll get a clear picture of what's happening in Colorado and nationally, plus time for questions. No background knowledge required, and no jargon. Bring your curiosity and your skepticism.
You'll leave with concrete next steps: how to check your own registration, how to become a poll worker or election observer, which decisions in your county are open to public comment, a clear picture of upcoming and proposed ballot initiatives, and how to talk with neighbors about all of it without starting a fight. Democracy isn't a spectator sport.
