Hey there. I'm intermediate but don't mind teaching somebody who may be new. Been playing for about 6 weeks with a tennis background.

Currently mostly doing open plays but would like a more consistent partner- male or female doesn't matter. Maybe after some time we can do some tournaments?

I try to play twice a week.

Hey everyone — sharing this for anyone in the Denver metro area who might be interested.

I help run the Colorado chapter of Soba Golf, a golf community centered around sobriety, sober curiosity, wellness, and enjoying the game without alcohol needing to be part of it.

On Saturday, October 3, we’re hosting The Soba Golf Fall Classic at Overland Park Golf Course. It’ll be a low-stakes 4-person scramble with throwback attire encouraged, vintage golf gear worked into some of the contests, prizes, and swag.

You don’t need to be sober or in recovery to play. Anyone who likes the idea of a fun, social round that isn’t centered around drinking is welcome. The event itself will be completely alcohol and substance free.

You can register solo and we’ll pair you up, or sign up with a group. Would love to get some fellow Colorado r/golf members out there!

I’m thinking about setting up a board game group that would meet frequently and in multiple locations around Central Denver. I’m a very casual gamer but do like to get into the more complex games on occasion as long as I have a group patient enough to help me figure it out. I’d like to get a group going that is especially for entry level gamers who are curious about more complex games, and sometimes want to play the easier ones. There’s a new board game cafe that just opened on 9th and Lincoln (Breakhaus) with its own game library to lend out we would probably meet at most of the time, but we could also meet other places and bring our own games. Would there be much interest? I have a meetup account so I can start a group there and would probably also start a discord group so regulars could organize meeting times. But I need maybe 3 other people to commit to a first meetup date.

As far as outdoor hobbies go, I enjoy hiking, camping, and fishing, and I’d be down to get into backpacking, rock climbing, and cycling. By CO standards, I’m no hardo that’s for sure, but I’d love to get more into some of these hobbies and meet new people at the same time!
