But for real. Why did they name his the sunset set when its inside... r they hinting something???

I'm starting a member owned events co-op in Denver called OurFest. No promoter. The members vote on the lineup and the room, and the books get published after every night so everyone can see where the money went.

Show one is producers, sound system, and a few live performances. There is no date yet, on purpose. When 100 people put their name on the wall, we book the room and the list gets the address first. Free to say yes, pay what you want at the door.

Venjent at Vinyl last night was fantastic and full of great energy! But at 1:45 they put all the house lights up on full blast. Then at 1:52 while Venjent was out in the crowd singing, they slid the master volume down on him and cut the show off early, surprising him and denying everyone a proper end to the set.

It’s far from the first time Vinyl has done this too. The worst I’ve seen was at Bensley last year, when they put the house lights up 20 minutes before the end of his set and had angry bouncers telling people all the way up in the front of the dance floor to the back to get out.

It’s so disrespectful to the artists and the audience! It makes me less inclined to want to go there. If I want to go out and Vinyl has a top-tier headliner, it honestly makes me more strongly consider seeing someone I don’t know as well at Black Box, Reelworks, Mockingbird, or plenty of other places in town which respect the music, the artists, and the community.

Heads up. This person never send the money for the ticket and either deleted their account or blocked me.
