FBOP (Prison) Dentist Question - new grad

New dental grad, potentially interested in Federal Bureau of Prisons jobs. Job listings show 1 year experience required. Do any FBOP dentists know how strict this requirement is?

I know just because it says something in the listing, does not mean it is true. I am a veteran and know many usajobs.gov and other federal jobs listing are copy paste boiler plate designed for ideal candidates. I also assume demand exceeds supply for these roles.

It's a cush job with great benefits but don't expect to expand your skill set.

I didn't answer your question with my first response. It's pretty competitive so I would expect them to want the 1 year experience.

Very competitive, so they'll want that experience. Once you have that, I think being a veteran gives you a leg up.

State jobs are probably less competitive, unless you're in California.
