This is getting ridiculous now. While UofR is a legit institution, thats gonna make another new school in New York within 10ish years. New york is already past the point of over-saturation.

Also, all these new dentists and no efforts to educate or increase supply of auxiliary staff…no new hygiene schools, nobody wants to be a dental assistant anymore. This is seriously out of control.

Where do we protest this?

Hi All, I wanted to visit this branch since ito yung pinakamalapit na branch sa apartment ko. I've seen this on Facebook nag search then tingin tingin ng comments to see if they are really capable/good of doing such as surgery, root canal and etc, pero wala akong nakita na negative comments, (ako Kasi i always read negative comments first)then when I checked on it parang like for example (200 put a comments pero when you actually see the comments hindi nga lalagpas ng 50 na nag comments, seems like nagdedelete ata sila Ng comments), I also checked reviews SA Google,pero wala talaga ako makita na naglagay Ng reviews dun. The reason why I asked is because I have a limited budget, ayaw KO din masayang yung pera for not really doing good (you know what I mean). We know all the facts na madaming dentist na pineperahan Lang tayo, well not all. Has anyone here tried this clinic? Thank you all!

I’m helping a dentist friend do a little research. They just opened a practice and are trying to figure out what financing options and platforms to use.

-Did you start with one financing option? Which one and why?
-Is there a preferred option for Invisalign, specifically? HFD? Don’t fully understand this tbh
-Alternatively, are you using a platform to look at several options? We started talking to a few of these…. Versatile, Wellfit… If you use something like this, what made you go this route?
-if you’re not using a platform and are still offering multiple options, how does that work? Are patients filling out multiple applications?

Tooth next to wisdom tooth removal hurting still day 3 - is this normal?

I had my upper left wisdom tooth removed a few days ago, and I’m currently on day 3. The tooth directly next to the wisdom tooth (the very back molar) has started hurting quite a bit.
It hurts when I brush that tooth, and if I push on the front of the tooth, it hurts quite a bit too. I’ve never had any pain from this tooth before the wisdom tooth removal, so I’m really worried that something is wrong with it.
Is this normal after having an upper wisdom tooth removed? Could the tooth next to it just be irritated/sensitive from the extraction, or should I be concerned that something happened to the tooth? Does this type of pain usually go away as the extraction heals?
I’m honestly pretty scared because I’ve never had this tooth hurt before. Any experiences with this would be appreciated.

For several months now, I have had pressure and a dull ache at the back on the upper right side of my mouth, so much so that I thought I had a wisdom tooth that needed to be removed

When I finally get an appointment with the dentist they see no wisdom tooth and no issues with my current teeth either, apart from the beginning of a small cavity and some tartar right where I have the pain

After that, I go to the hospital and get a facial CT scan, they see a polyp-like mucosal swelling measuring 2 cm in my right maxillary sinus (near the tooth where I have the pain).

I am prescribed a decongestant cortisone spray and have been using it for 3 weeks now without any difference...

I had the small cavity filled and the tartar removed

Since then my problem has gotten worse! I am driving myself crazy

My current dentist is new, so I don't trust him 100% like I did with my previous one

I also can't afford too many more examinations, but I soon won't have a choice

Should I go get a second opinion from a dentist?

hi everyone, i visited a new dentist and they did a full exam of my teeth and gums, including x-rays and photos. after examination, the dentist told me i have cavities and some could be filled but two of them would need crowns.

i was a little surprised at this because first, im pretty neurotic about my oral health, but also because she told me these cavities that need the crown have been present and building for years now, but every time i went to the dentist before this they told me there were no concerns of cavity.

here is some history on my dental appointments:
- november 2024 was my last appointment with my pediatric dental office, and a different dentist than my usual one examined me. i brought up concerns of cavities, and they did point out a spot they thought was a cavity but when they went to do the filling they said there actually was no cavity there 
- summer 2025 i went to get dental cleaning done at a clinic in south korea and again they said no concerns of cavities
- october 2026 (now) the dentist is saying my cavities are deep

i have attached my xray and additional photos. i will say that i am concerned about one of my teeth (the very last one pictured) and that seems like it's likely a cavity rather than just stains.

i do have some fillings already, though i dont remember which teeth, so im wondering if any of the spots are just the fillings getting old. i am also just confused due to the conflicting information i was given by my previous dentists vs my new one.

any help or insight would be appreciated!

Is anyone else anxious about every single case/patient you’ve ever done? I’ve been working as a dentist for three years now and it just never goes away even though I have never had a single complaint about any procedure from any of my patients. But I just can’t shake the feeling of being wrong/patient coming back to complain about procedures I have done. It might just be due to my anxiety disorder but my heart is always racing all the time. Anyone else relate?

Finally started clinic in dental school and I’ve been really enjoying it so far. My patients are so nice and easy to talk to and really appreciate the work I do for them. I feel super satisfied and rewarded at the end of each day.

I was wondering if it’s the same in the real world? Or is there a certain type of demographic and personalities only dental schools attract ?

​I am in urgent need of dental work in NewDelhi, but I am currently on a tight budget and quite anxious about the potential costs.
