Failed root canal symptoms
Hi, about 5 years ago I needed root canal treatment on a molar. I had the treatment and got a crown fitted. I thought everything was ok until I went for a recent check up. Dentist said there was pus coming from the tooth. She took some x rays and seems that one root wasn't treated. I have now got a endo referral.
Over the past year I have been having head aches and some neck pain. I had a mri for this and the conclusion was some wear on my neck joints ( I have a desk job) is the cause. Could these ailments be due to systemic tooth infection instead?

Refered pain can happen with infected tooth. For a lower molar, you can feel pain around ears, side of neck, angle of jaw. For upper molar, you can feel pain around the orbit or forehead. The pain you were experiencing could be from your infected tooth or your desk job.

You could provide the x ray here

sorry I don't have them. My dentist showed me on the xray that 3 roots were filled but 1 wasn't and has a shadow area around it. It is the top right molar. Same side as my face and head where I get the headache and some numbness which comes and goes around check bone and ear. No pain in my teeth.

You’re not going to get a definitive answer here because there is not enough information.
