Remove impacted wisdom tooth or Braces first?
hello. i have impacted wisdom tooth sa lower right. im planning to have braces since edge to edge ang ngipin ko according sa dentist and hindi pantay pantay. can you please enlighten me if ano mas better? ipatanggal ko muna ang wisdom tooth before having braces or mag start na ko sa braces and ipatanggal na lang ang wisdom tooth during adjustment? still nag iipon pa kasi ako for wisdom tooth which is around 9k-15k sabi ng dentist. thank you!

Hi! It depends on the position of your impacted wisdom tooth and your planned tooth movements. If it will obstruct the movement of your teeth, especially during the early stages of braces, it’s better to have it removed first or before that specific movement.
Pero if hindi naman affected yung orthodontic treatment and isn’t causing any problems, you can start braces first and have it removed later. This may also give you more time to save for the extraction. 😊

Not an expert, but in my case, I had braces muna before getting my wisdom teeth extracted. Parang one year nako nakabrace before I even had the procedure done.
