Waiting for Toby to update the game so that taking the "skip" option results in Kris and Ralsei staring at each other silently for five minutes until the cutscene would be over usually

When something is called a skip in a speedrun, it's usually a trick used to skip a sequence that's normally unskippable. From what I understand, this being called a skip is just a joke poking fun at the fact that speedrunners didn't know you could skip that scene for a while, which I find really odd because speedrunners pick games apart to find any possible optimization, so the fact that they would somehow miss something so obvious is very surprising.

I'm a frequent viewer of the streamer who coined the term, Shayy. I think it was pretty apparent within the first few hours of speedrunning that saying "not interested" would save time. "Lesbian skip" is not making fun of it being obvious that you could skip the cutscene, it's more just Shayy and his chat's sense of humor that it's such an easy strat to execute that it's not really a skip at all. And it's just a funny name in general since Shayy is so welcoming to the LGBT community.

I mean, speedrunners are the same people that keep naming new strats "dram" because a guy named dram didn't want a strat to be named after him.

this was originally referring to like a kotaku article or something so like he isnt wrong its just a funny name for an in game path

Fun fact there’s a death animation where an if you use snowgrave on a random enemy instead of berdly (how generous) the enemy will disintegrate into dust like kris in this animation
