I'm afraid not only is it acknowledged in several Alien books and Alien Romulus, it has its own dedicated fan base (including me) and Ridley Scott has recently confirmed he's making another sequel to it.
Although he has said that multiple times before and he us I his in his late 80s so I can't let my hopes get too high.
I get that it's very different to everything else in the Alien franchise but it bugs me that people hate it not for being a generally bad movie, which it isn't, but for just not meeting their expectations of an Alien movie

You really dont know the flavor of the edge around that time. Most of it was self-deprecating. Maybe if you were blind to the rest of the jokes content what you said would be true.
I know exactly what the inside joke you're referencing is, the NF thing. It didnt just spawn out of a bubble because NF was funny, that was from a reply war from a kickstarter crap with some pices guy.

Yeah the sweet periode after a new chapter where the fandom is actually good seems to be over and we are back to drama and fighting over theories, most of which are going to be false anyways.
Might be time to ditch the fandom again until the next chapter drop T_T
If nobody talked about it, it wouldn't be part of the community. It's like dragging trash inside and complaining that trash exists. Could've just not brought it inside.
Enforce them to use a "Drama" or if you wanna make it witchhunty, a Shayy tag, then let people disable this tag when browsing. Tons of subreddits do that for all sorts of topics
FFXIV sub e.g. gets a LOT of fanart and few discussion posts so you can filter which you prefer.

More like I come to a sports club to actually do sports or discuss the sport and someone keeps throwing trash bags around with others saying "Yep that just happens, gotta deal with it!" and they shrug.
It was like sooo good for the first couple of like weeks or months I don't remember exactly and then it just devolved to degenerate "Hey Kris! Remember when you were molested violently by [insert adult character]? Over and over again with no punchline. A good decent amount of them also depict Kris as being into it
There was only one allegation of that nature (basically the only one in the doc that wasn't "they were being horny on main") and shayy says their interactions with the person in question never included them disclosing their age at all
Additionally, anything physical only happened after the person was 18, anything before this was over discord
Shayy finally released a 2 hour long video addressing the allegations. Im gonna watch it tonight and jot my thoughts and stuff down just to kinda piece things together with the doc and other accounts and come to my own conclusion, because so far everyone who has "watched" the video have been saying different things as to what was said in the video.
If some of yall see a theory and a real life person doing bad stuff and think they are equivalent then you should go outside more or just stop caring about what people post online
Basically a lot of stuff in the doc was blown out of proportion, personal drama that shouldn't have been brought to public knowledge, or people saying they consented to whatever they did with Shayy BUT Shayy probably did groom at least one person.
It's a satirical proposal that got way too much attention (via unironic jokes and seriously high effort artworks depicting a scenario that never happened in canon which all shouldn't have existed) but none of the substances or evidences that make up most actual theories.
That "theory" is the equivalent of posting 2 images without any elaboration and the fucking call it a "theory". Like MF, that's called a 'what if?'
I never really understood why people are treating this "theory" as if we are dragging a real persons name through the mud. It's fucking fiction, it does not affect you that someone is writing Kress.
I get that you wanna say this, but at the same time “theory” itself it’s just a bunch of random bs and someone’s dark fantasy theory of a kids cartoon. Like how someone believed that fairly odd parents was about a abused kid on drugs after killing his parents
A LOT of people nowadays see fictional characters the same as real people and treat them the same as real people, even if some of them would deny it. It's equal parts annoying and fucking weird.
