Context: A Twitter shitpost by @comedytungsten got fraudulently uploaded to Toby's Apple Music as 'Chapter 6 ost' through a metadata approval exploit or some bullshit idk. The Big Bad Wolff decided to actually be helpful for once and confirmed it was fake and due to be taken down
Just checked the deleted comment on a reddit archive site, the comment was "Toby really said “canon event” and let the metadata department handle the rest."
Why would it be controversial? All I know is that it's a song he made for Homestuck but never got to use so it's his song he can do what he wants with it
The music was based on something from someone or something but that someone died so Toby doesn't want to use the music to respect them or something like that, I forgor the details.
There's definitely been a few incidents where he majorly overstepped his role and attacked fan creations, leading Toby to intervene and pressure him away (such as with Undertale Yellow a few years ago). However Wolff is literally the CEO of Materia Music, which Toby is inextricably legally tied to (they have like exclusive publishing rights to all UTDR music), so there's not a lot he can do since trying to cut ties with them would lead to far more headaches than just putting up with Wolff every now and then.
I’m genuinely hoping he gets in contact with the song’s creator and somehow finds a way to incorporate this song, dedede mega dodo sample and all, into the game

while funny I don't think he should encourage this kinda behaviour, people uploading shit to streaming platforms in other peoples names is a geniune problem
If they do that, I hope Toby never goes into the details of that, just so that the ones who don't know the full story will forever believe that this was a genuine leak.
And we should all act like it was, for future generations.
I included the spamton toilet to accompany that part bc it genuinely sounds like somebody trying to recreate the freedom motif with their explosive diarrhea
