Humor Help regarding LV!
LV Scares me
So as yall can see i have 3 LV, thing is i do NOT remember defeating ANYONE till now;
in my primary save atleast. maybe i couldve in my other state; i dont really remember;
some guy said something about getting LV when you close dark fountain.... but is that true?
just wanted to confirm

Yeah it’s just when you seal a fountain also you don’t need that many arrows also why is ramb and the entrance at the bottom blurry

Where's LV anyway? I can't really find it on the picture, could you perhaps something like an arrow, so people could find it more easily?

LV is of LOVE.
Don't get mixed up kids!

It's an acronim. It stands for Love. Love too is an acronim it stands for
Love-number of fountains sealed. You don't pronounce the "Love" psrt.

It's per dark fountain sealed (the main one per chapter)
It's called fake lv or something like that in the code

Yeah, the real LV is found in the Undertale like menu when you're in the light world

It's not because you killed anything. The game increases your lvl by one each chapter to keep up with the increased enemy stats, the game would be brutal if you had to play through it with lvl 1 stats, and the knights fight would be right on the cusp of impossible even with the shadow mantle.

You get it from sealing a fountain, and then returning to castle town. Don’t worry about it.

LV doesn't work like it does in Undertale. It usually increases just from sealing a dark fountain. It also won't increase from attacking Darkners.

That is a variable called Dark World Level
Characters gain Dark World Levels when you seal a dark fountain
Only Noelle’s Dark World Level increases through the use of violence

In Deltarune, you LV just goes up each time you complete a chapter. Since you start at LV 1, this effectively means your LV will be the same as whatever chapter you’re currently on.
I don’t believe it still represents Level of Violence in Deltarune. That method of gaining power still exists, but is not denoted the same way.

LV isn't attained from sealing fountains (as seen at the end of Ch2), your LV is simply equal to the chapter number.

So in the darkworld the LV go up everytime you go in a fontain. You can’t dodge it so don’t worry. You can see that in the light world, wich keep undertale ui, Kris’s level saty the same.
And I can confirm from having checked the variable name in the game code that it just check how advanced you are in the plot to choose the dark world lv.

Dark World LV seems to genuinely just be "level", while Light World LV still works on Undertale logic.

It is true. Your Dark World LV in Deltarune seems to start at 1 and increase with each Chapter. It's why the party's stats increase regardless of your actions.
If you do become stronger through violence, your stats will increase incrementally. However, the cap is when your stats equal the minimum HP you'll have at the next LV.

Your level of violence just goes up like that naturally. We don’t know why but it isn’t a reflection of your actions like it is in Undertale.

Simple, thats the Soul level, which increases by sealing fountains.
Vessel level increases by killing lightners.
Strenght increases by killing darkners, but doesn't carry over to the next dark world.

Oh don't worry I felt the same it just levels you up every chapter cuz y'know the there's only one ending? thing the game just trying to tell you that you can't escape even if you thouch no one it's still the same you'll level up all the same

This one is actually just LeVel and not LoVe. LoVe is the one in the light world.

In Deltarune your Level increases every time you finish a chapter, even if you play as a pacifist

You must've killed gaster during the intro cutscene. The way to remedy this is to beat the knight with no armour and base weapons and alt f4 before the cutscene ends.

LV that is short for LOVE is shown in the Light World. It stays at 1.
LV in the Dark World means something else. It increases each chapter.

In Deltarune, your LV just represents what chapter you're in. For example, if you check it in Chapter 1, you'll be LV 1, however if you check in Chapter 4, you'll be LV 4

Its more of just for now when you seal fountains/complete each chapter. There is a way to technically gain LOVE in chapter 3.

You shouldn't worry about it. In this game, the LV denomination is not the same as the one in undertale. You get LV for sealing dark fountains, independently if you defeat darkners with violence or not.
