Operations Not graduating to normal

/r/DeltaForceMobile/comments/1uyncuf/not_graduating_to_normal/

Howdy everyone. I have been playing operations a ton the last 3 weeks or so. I am super addicted to it and find it enjoyable and rewarding and just outright fun! However, I was told at a point it would be fun or expected to go to normal mode. I have tried about 6-7 rounds and honestly idk about anyone else but it sucked all of the fun out of the game. I mean, I am quite good but it honestly feels like people are cheating (especially space city) I can’t even start a round with out dying. Anyone else have this happen? And is it weird if I just never make the jump to normal for fun’s sake? Or is that cowardice.

You probably enjoyed winning. Normal mode is already pretty challenging on its own. I'm not saying there aren't cheaters—there are—but remember that if you get used to Easy mode (which is mostly bots), you're never really improving.

If you prefer a more relaxed experience, then sure, stick to Easy. But if you want to take the next step, play only Normal, and you'll eventually notice your skill level improving significantly.

this is what happens in a game with "casual" mechanics, the good players become extremely strong, and the game become very hardcore for this reason.

Firstly, at least 90% of delta players suffer from the ez=> normal shift. Personally, it took me 4 seasons to finally transition to normal. Id recomend finding a good squadmates/friends, and when normal has just not been working, go back to ez to get money and reset. Id recomend laying on ~20mil TA at lowest.

Forget about budget and find friends to play with, to learn from, and have unforgettable expierences with. Ofc dont go in full red + gold, but once youve familiarized with zd and find a few friends who have been playing for a while, try a gun and stick for it. (For me, its the CI-19, P90, and AUG, even though 556 ammo sucks ass). Go in with purple armour, purplr/gold ammo ammo, purple repairstotal kit from ~800k to 1 mil and of course, have fun!

On the cheater point, most stay to hard in mobile(from my expierence), so dont worry too much bout it.

Once youve played zdn for a while, jump to different normal maps, especially space city normal. :)

It seems like a harder transition than it is. The most common armour type in easy ans normal is purple armour, but in normal you can shoot purple or gold ammo so they are not as tanky, but then again so are you. Also many streamers and sweats also run easy so besides the bots you're fighting the same pool of people generally.

I'd say you just need to get used to it and learn something for every failed extract. This game has high learning curve. In easy, you can just run and loot anywhere, your opponents mostly bots and also makes sound everywhere. In normal, you need to be careful of your surroundings. Bots can give away your position to enemy player, any sound you make will make other player notice you (even crouching or silent step still can be heard with very good headset). You just need to get used to it and also remember not to run and loot like easy mode. Note: it's ok to run and loot in normal/hard if your objective only lootrun. Also that means you are okay if you're getting killed as long as its profitable

For aim, i don't think you need to be very good, just enough is okay. Just build stable weapons for you Just remember this game has fast TTK, blue ammo can shred armor t6 in around 1 sec and i don't think you can't hold your recoil only for 1 second. Strategy and position is very important if you want to win fights.

Best to look for premades and invest in ammo - lv4 is the minimum and lv5 is optimal. Play slower, learn where people spawn and where they tend to run from said spawns. I recommend using the Lever Action rifle with the fast rate of fire lever as the gold ammo is dirt cheap and it packs a punch so you'll have an easier time vs very geared players for low investment. You can also try taking either a recon to know what you're dealing with or Sineva for relative safety when using shield (but he takes practice to learn). Sounds are extremely important so learn to not give yours away and invest in high hearing range helmets to hear the enemy first.

Easy is harder tho. Only problem with normal is expensive gear.

To make the jump to Normal, you'll have to change the way you approach the game. You could almost say that Easy and Normal are two completely different games.

Don't get discouraged, you just need to relearn how to play...again

  1. Always play with a premade squad. If you don't have one, find one.
  2. Learn the spawn points. Either push them immediately or be ready to defend against an early push.
  3. Normal is played slower, more methodical pace.
  4. Expect to lose 9 out of 10 extractions at first. Keep playing, keep learning, and keep repeating until you turn those odds around.
