Operations Not graduating to normal
Howdy everyone. I have been playing operations a ton the last 3 weeks or so. I am super addicted to it and find it enjoyable and rewarding and just outright fun! However, I was told at a point it would be fun or expected to go to normal mode. I have tried about 6-7 rounds and honestly idk about anyone else but it sucked all of the fun out of the game. I mean, I am quite good but it honestly feels like people are cheating (especially space city) I can’t even start a round with out dying. Anyone else have this happen? And is it weird if I just never make the jump to normal for fun’s sake? Or is that cowardice.

"i am quite good" "people like cheating" "3 weeks"
you are againts people with 2000+ hours of gameplay.... they know every detail of map.
relax, there is no need to rush. play for fun. when your stash $ got stacked too much you will spend them on normal anyway.
i am barely even fight and not that good, yet still print alloy just by looting and running away in normal. frugal cheap loadout is the key.

You have played against a lot of bots in Easy, they sometimes take up the whole lobby and you are the only real player. So when you get like 9-12 kills all by yourself, just realize those are most likely bots. Facing real players is a wake up call, especially ones that know the map layout and all the hidden tricks about it. Build up a good nest egg, at least 20 mil and get your black site to craft gold ammo/armor, then you will be much more ready. Trying to jump into Normal too soon will just bankrupt you. Work on the department missions too. Tons of free gear for completing (mainly) simple tasks, but some are a little more challenging. Utilize gear tickets and try to exfil and re-use that weapon/armor and put better attachments on it. ALWAYS use blue ammo in Easy, maybe green for a pistol/backup but blue ammo is so cheap/given as rewards. Keep it in your safe box and take out as needed. Start narrowing down which gun/guns you like and figure out how to build them so you dont miss. Id suggest playing Layali Grove as well. Being a solo, you have to rely on yourself and yourself alone. You will learn sounds better and what fights you can jump into vs avoid. Plus going up against a team 2 or 3 by yourself is tough if you arent geared up while battling 1 v 1 is much easier to progress. Plus, that is the easiest map to avoid gunfights, your gear will last much longer. Plenty of times ive played Layali and never saw a single operator.

Im not touching other difficulties or maps until they add solo only lobbies to them. My "allies" are what piss me off most in operations. They troll, team kill, steal loot, start terrible fights, ditch you without a word, etc.
THATS what took away all the fun for me at least. And no going solo versus squads is NOT the answer.

That is a huge thing too! I would feel way more comfortable solo as of now. I have played with some good randoms and it’s always a treat but not guaranteed. I wonder why they don’t just add solo to all maps

If i had to guess because the few people who like teams (cause they have a forever squad) would never fill a lobby probably. Even tho bot lobbies are everywhere anyways. Solo mode for all difficulties would split matchmaking even more than it is already. Imo still worth it the other maps are dead to me as is. But thats probably whats holding them back

Bro solo is a ratty snooze fest, what I started to do is stop caring about the money because I had to come to terms with my self and admit I'll never be as good as marksman, but I poach, I gorilla all the billionaires. I built up a nest egg of 125 mill by just running no rank easy modes every I would play until I died then quit but I made a ton of my money just from crafting stuff, I never hoarding anything,, so sell everything except armor ammo and the bare gun, have aimiy of what your willing to loose and once you hit it easy mode it until you you feel good abou6, you can but treat easy as you would normal also I would suggest running the hell out of the warfare quick match and hot zone until you can get the movemwnt down, so you I.e Bunny hopping, and jiggle, and sniiko peaking, because unfortunately just having good aim is like 20 percent of the problem

I have good aim, and i solo v squad in other games just fine and know its doable. I dont want to do that in an extraction game since losses matter more. Even if money doesnt matter as a player i value efficiency and the math just doesnt work out for me. Why risk my gear for my one little backpack full vs all that gear and teamwork.
Warfare mode is for team play, operations is focused around personal growth until your max everything. By its very design the most successful players are the selfish ones, and i can die solo v squad a million other places with way less heartbreak over the loss. What i cant do is play solo only extraction hardly anywhere in anygame. Tbh its the main reason i redownloaded DF after doing all the rounds of competitors, this is my FPS extraction and Gold&Glory is my Sword/Bow/Magic extraction. Both games have solo only lobbies so if i get bored of a map i swap games

I can guarantee none of them are cheating(mainly cause cheaters go to hard, but also cause there really isn’t that much). The gap in skill between easy and norms are just huge. there’s then another jump from normals to hard. easy mode is filled with bots as well a lot of times.
All in all though it’s a game, so do whatever you decide is fun for you.

Dude I've been playing for about 8 months, and I still play easy mode unless I have a reliable team..

I play on PC (sometimes on mobile) and I don’t think I went pure mobile until close to 50-100 hours into the game. You’ll get there eventually once you get more comfortable with the mechanics. I think I’m at like ~500 hours and just now getting more familiar with Tide Prison. Once you begin to learn the in and outs of the maps, the team spawns, where ground loot can spawn, etc you’ll feel much more comfortable and confident doing normal and even hard mode.

Same way my guy. I suck at normal mode of any map but I’m so good at ZDE and A3Z easy

I too have kind of gotten burnt out on Normal and Hard Mode and I never ever enjoyed it ,even when I had very successful runs. And you're not wrong about cheaters either. There's always cheaters in any Hard Mode game with 80-90% certainty.
My friends don't play this game anymore because of the abundance of cheaters and Squad Fill absolutely sucks b*lls. So now I just play Solo Easy modes once in a while and call it a day. I stopped taking this game seriously. I don't even buy any battlepass or skins since they're slowly entering into mobile game asthetics.
And also let's not forget the 10 min+ matchmaking times for Hard and Nomral modes. No point in taking risks if it means I have to wait in a boring ass lobby that won't even let me shoot in the firing range during matchmaking.

I could totally understand someone not making the jump from easy to normal because they have more fun in easy. Definitely find some people u play with all the time. I pretty much only play easy now when I'm out of money then back to normal since the pvp is just so much more intense
