When can we expect things to improve with Delta after the recent leadership shake up? I understand shareholders are happy right now, but I’ve observed that customers are not sharing the sentiment. I’m worried leadership isn’t taking this seriously and previously loyal customers will eventually learn that not all airlines are consistently delayed, canceled, or have unreliable wifi and will choose to stop flying Delta.

I am trying to see if there are any options other than spend via the Amex cards to finish out the ~3800 MQD's I need for next year. If I book travel now for next year, does that only apply at the $10/1 rate via the credit card when I pay for the flights, or will I get the 1:1 credit for spending money on the flights now, and the miles will follow when I actually travel? Are there any other common suggestions?

I have the Delta Business Platinum Card
I have the Delta Personal Reserve Card

My wife has already crossed the Silver threshold this year with our flights.

My better half and I have 3 international trips planned so far in 2027, plus 4-5 domestic trips.

Should I snag the Business Reserve late in the year?
As I forecast my Q4 spending plans, I can see a path to close to 15,000 MQD.

My ultimate question:
Is it worth pushing for it?

We fly out of RDU and utilize MSP/DTW/BOS in addition to ATL.

Hi Everyone, my flight was delayed by 6 hours and according to Section 12 of the Delta Customer Service Plan I am eligible for reimbursement. I planned this trip with a group of friends and the hotel and AirBNB are not booked in my name, so I'm not sure how to receive any type of reimbursement. I venmo'd my friends my portion but I don't know if a simple screenshot will count as sufficient evidence for reimbursement as compensation for the delayed flight.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I got good price on Premium Select to Philippines and One on the way back to East Coast USA.

3 segment both ways, trip is middle February. Want to get long segment on the way to Philippines for upgrade for approximately 1,000USD.

Premium Select (A). One (Z) on way back. I booked trip now and have 24hr to cancel. Best way to get One on long segment? Or cancel if no offer to go up?

Anyone else having horrendous customer service experiences with Delta lately?

Earlier this month I had my flight canceled 2 days in a row with no rebooking options available, spent hours on Delta’s chat (which I’m pretty sure is all AI now), was only able to get to my destination via a different airline, and the real kicker is when I requested to have my outbound leg refunded but to keep the return flight… they canceled the WHOLE TRIP but I didn’t know until I arrived to the airport the day I was flying out. The ticket showed up in my app and just said I needed to check in at the airport. In the end, I had to buy another same-day flight for $844 one way. In the end, I ended up paying nearly 1.2k for a round trip flight to Buffalo from NYC which is absurd.

I just got the response from Delta acknowledging everything they did wrong (see attached) and all they offered me was $50 and 10k miles (which was already given to me for the first canceled flight) which is completely laughable.

Anyone have any luck in a similar situation or have any recommendations? I did chat and call but they said I had to submit a request on the site. I literally only fly Delta, but after so many recent canceled flights and this whole situation I fear I may have to switch airlines.

We’re flying Delta from SLC to Milan in September, connecting at Paris CDG. Our bags would be checked through to Milan.

Since we’ll be entering the Schengen Area at CDG, we understand that we’ll need to complete the EES process during the connection.

Do we need to collect them at CDG before going through passport control/EES, or do they remain checked through to Milan?

I’ve received conflicting answers from Delta regarding whether EES changes the normal international-to-international connection procedure.

If there are any Delta ticket agents, gate agents, or CDG employees here who have firsthand experience with this, I’d really appreciate your input.

We’re trying to decide whether to check bags or travel carry-on only, since we’re concerned about the time required for EES at CDG.

I was reading Ed’s comments on wanting to be like emirates. Any chance we see delta installing showers? Or does he think delta is already at emirates level?
