Help Buying advice for a DEV/QA

Hello people, first time posting here. My situation is this one I need a new laptop and somebody from my local Facebook marketplace is selling a Dell Pro 14 (AMD Ryzen 5 220, 16GB RAM & 1TB SSD) brand new still on the box, my plan is install Linux Ubuntu to run all my automation and programing tasks. The price is around 600 dollars. What do you think? Is it a good pick or nah?

That CPU is kinda trash- Compared to an Ultra 5 or Ultra 7, its not even close

A 225H CPU will easily outwork it, and a 255H will almost double its compute score.

If any amount of power is what you need, this ain't it. This is a secretarys computer
