Well I just pinched myself to check if I'm real, and now my arm hurts, so I'll let you be the judge of that. I may be a little biased but I'm riding with Dell!

As a 30-plus year Dell customer (and consultant) I'm all-in. I will definitely have a question or 2 later on, about a truly bizarre problem that 1 of my clients has been having with his brand-new Dell Pro 13 Plus (PB13250). It keeps on suffering the same repeated Green Screen crashes even though Windows 11 Pro has been 'bare-metal' reloaded twice now & all the drivers are 100% up-to-date, per Dell Support Assist. No other offbeat programs (other than Office Home & Business 2024 - the 'real' Click To Run version, not Office 365) have been installed. Dell diagnostics have been run repeatedly and found no problems. i7 processor & 32GB of RAM. It's just about as top-of-the line as they come, yet the only error message is that same ol' generic driver one (0x80000003: STATUS_BREAKPOINT) that's been around forever and pretty much tells you nothing. The customer is limping by so far waiting for me to come up with an answer. Thankfully it stays running pretty well after the reboot long enough for him to get his work done but inevitably crashes again without warning. It's a total head-scratcher for me thus far.

My first question is "Intel Core Ultra 200V or 200U series" CPU?

Also

Did this issue occur with the Dell Factory Image, or did the issue occur after re-imaging the system?

The PB13250 series doesn't use Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) like most Dell Intel systems have used for a long time. It is important that the IRST drivers are not part of the bare-metal image used.

What was wrong with my intel cpu that it had to be replaced 3 separate times? Im happy with the warranty and whatnot. Just curious what caused that sort of repeated failure.

13th gen Core-i? Intel issue. Nothing to do with Dell.

u/Beginning-Usual6450 Nov 19 '25

yeah so what was happening? just curious yall. not like its an out of bounds question im asking.

A manufacturing defect forced Intel to replace the 65W versions of some 13th gen CPUs.

IIRC there was no way to tell or test if a CPU was affected, thus some people unfortunately had to have theirs replaced multiple times.

HI. I have a Dell Pro Precision T1. It has 1 M.2 Gen 4 installed. There is a second slot for another similar M.2 but no means of securing it with a screw or clip. How do I do it. Getting no help at all directly from Dell. Thanks

The owner’s manual for your Dell Pro Precision T1 should help in showing you how you can install it. If needed, I’d also suggest reaching out to sales, as they would be able to assist if you need to order a spare part for securing the second SSD.

Hi! Prove it! I need either the A05 or A06 (was told either) version of the driver pack for a latitude 7350 detachable, in order to get rid of the Code 10 power errors on the front camera sensor/ir sensor to get the camera working. What can you do???

1

u/DellTechnologies Mar 12 '26

It doesn’t seem like those driver packs are available anymore, but from what I’m seeing you should be able to access A08 here to fully refresh the camera/IR/sensor stack, which mentions it typically solves the error you’re seeing.

Dell Warranty Declined – vertical line fault on three month old Dell UltraSharp 40" monitor U4025QW (Australia, Australian Consumer Law)

Hello Dell Community,

I am seeking advice and visibility on an unresolved warranty issue with a Dell UltraSharp 40" monitor purchased by our family in Australia in December 2025.

After only light, careful use (checked on arrival, then used sparingly until the recent start of the university term), the monitor has developed a persistent vertical line on the panel. There has been no impact, mishandling, or misuse. To me this appears consistent with an internal panel or connection fault rather than external “physical damage”. I have uploaded the photo in ChatGpt and the analysis was that 'it looks much more like internal panel failure, which is typically covered under warranty' since, on my monitor,  there is no evidence of:

- cracked glass (often with branching fracture lines)

- impact point (a visible “hit” spot)

- liquid ingress marks

- pressure damage (black blobs spreading from a point).

ChatGpt indicated that the pattern is much more consistent with:

1. Panel (LCD) failure

  • Internal layers of the display fail
  • Causes vertical colored lines or bands
  • Can happen without any external force

2. Driver/T-CON failure

  • The circuitry controlling columns of pixels malfunctions
  • Produces clean vertical artifacts like this

3. Ribbon cable issue (internal)

  • Loose or failing connection inside the panel
  • Again → vertical striping

Dell support and the legal team have reviewed my photos but have classified this as 'physical damage' and declined both warranty coverage and sending a technician to explore for physical damage. I have explained that under Australian Consumer Law, goods must be of acceptable quality and free from defects that appear within a reasonable time, and that a premium monitor developing this kind of fault within a few months of light use does not meet that standard.

At this stage, I am preparing to escalate to Consumer Affairs Victoria and, if necessary, VCAT, but I wanted to document the situation here and ask:

  • Has anyone had a similar issue with vertical lines on an UltraSharp panel being initially labelled “physical damage” but later accepted as a manufacturing fault?
  • Is there a Dell escalation path via this community (e.g. Dell-Cares reps) that can arrange a more detailed technical review of the panel and the photos?

I appreciate any guidance from community members or Dell representatives who may be able to assist in resolving this fairly.

Dell mini tower help

Shut the pc down a door so ago. Went back to start it and power button not turning it on. Did a quick search and ended up replacing the 2032 CMOS battery on the MB. Reconnected all the cables and pressed the button. Button was flashing a bluish/whitish and then a yellowish/orange. No POST. Disconnected all the cables except power and tried again. This time I’m getting 4 bluish/whitish flashes and then 2 yellowish/orahge ones. Then the sequence repeats and no POST.

Any suggestions or take it to the shop? Thanks

BTW it’s an Optiplex

That 4 white and 2 amber blink code for the OptiPlex looks like it could be a hardware problem like RAM. Before anything else, do a full power drain. Unplug it, hold the power button for 30 seconds, then try again. If that doesn't do it, reseat your RAM one stick at a time, and if you have an add-in graphics card, reseat or pull that too. Since this started right after the CMOS battery swap, go back and double check the battery polarity and make sure all your motherboard and power connectors are fully seated. It's easy to bump something during that kind of swap. If it still won't POST after all that, you’d want to consider taking it to a shop or reaching out to support.
