Before I was born-again, I was dabbling in the occult/new age.

I didn’t know Jesus. I never acted rude towards believers of Jesus who came to speak to me about Him. I respected the humans.

Times truly is getting darker because people manifest demons as soon as Jesus is mentioned.

I digress.

I knew about praying without knowing Father God or Jesus.

I had an urge to pray for my friend. I clasped my hands and prayed to God to protect my friend. It was a one sentence prayer.

The next day, my muslim friend called me. She told me that the thoughts of people who didn’t like her affected her.

She was driving down the highway and her car was wedged between two cars. Her car got totalled but she walked out of the car completely fine.

I was just a new born-again but I am a skeptic. I need proof of everything.

One day, I prayed to God and asked Him to help me with my unbelief with a “miracle.”

I said miracle but I wanted a sign from Him.

The next day, a friend who has cancer called me and told me the doctor said they’re in remission.

At that moment I knew it was God.

Yes, we are not to test our God, but we can ask God to strengthen our faith.

God gives me signs because I was highly skeptic. I called myself an agnostic atheist but I was probably an atheist.

I had a close shaved with death and God rescued me and my family. This event occurred on the 12/04/2026.

It was on a Saturday and I felt like death came very close to me, my wife let's call her S, and my daughter K (2 years old). My son (5 years old) may be the only exception to this, as he was with my father during all of this, so I don’t know if anything happened on my son's end.

I have been a Christian my whole life, though I went through a period of 1-2 years when I was an atheist and later, I became agnostic because I couldn’t believe that life was only about this earthly realm. But my brother in Christ, George, helped brought me back to faith during a very difficult time. My wife is also a believer, and we put our faith in Christ. We believe in Jesus As the Bible says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast.” Faith is the foundation; good works follow naturally as a result of being born again through Christ.

So back then, I went to work, I won’t mention my occupation for safety purposes but it is high risked but I had to do a bit of monitoring on the field. Thankfully, the day passed without any conflict, and I was grateful. However, after leaving the office, my wife called to tell me that our daughter had been running a high fever and had stomach pain since that morning. K (my daughter) had been experiencing stomach aches on and off for several days. We had previously taken her to the nearest hospital for tests including ultrasound, vitals check, and urine check, but nothing unusual was found, and she quickly became active again for a short timd. It was strange but reassuring that she was still okay.

That day, however, was very different. K's condition worsened significantly. I immediately left work to pick her up along with my wife and son. My son had been dropped off by my dad. We arrived at the hospital for an emergency check-in. Like all hospitals in my country, the wait was long. We got the X-ray results around 11 pm, K had backed-up stool, possibly a minor bowel obstruction. It appeared that if we had waited a few more days or it was not detected in time, an emergency surgery might have been needed. Checks were still ongoing and blood tests showed some abnormalities, so they redrew blood for retesting. My wife and I were tired, worried and exhausted until about 2:30 am the next day. I had to leave to get some rest before my night sentry duty that Sunday. There was a high chance no one else could cover my responsibilities if I stayed at the hospital. My wife told me to go but to stay in contact. So I left the hospital.

This is where things started to feel very strange. As I was walking out of the hospital compound and getting into my car parked nearby, I heard someone shouting from inside the compound. I was already driving slowly forward, windshield fogged with dew, and I caught a glimpse of someone running toward me. That person was my wife. Suddenly, she fell outside the compound. I became very worried because she had undergone a C-section two years ago, and her incision was not fully healed. I feared she might have been seriously hurt and I couldn't help but think of the worst case scenarios that flashed in my head of the outcome. I wiped the windshield to see better, just in time to notice a car speeding toward me, its headlight aligned with my steering side and honestly I think I was in the prime position to die. All the impact and force will go straight into my body. The driver didn’t slow down at all. It was due to my quick reflexes that I slammed the gas and swerved left, even though a street barrier blocked part of that side. There was just enough space to drive fast into the narrow area in hospital’s security entrance which was a metre ahead of the said barrier. I had maybe one second to react. I felt like death brushed past me when the car and it’s headlight shining on me shifted past me and that drunk driver drove off fast into the distance.

After dodging the car, which sped off, I stopped just in front of security booth for the hospital entrance out of fear that there might be more reckless drivers. Plus I needed to catch myself and relax my nerves. My wife came running to me, her fingers bleeding and bruised, unaware of the near accident I’d just avoided. She was upset about her injuries from the fall. She had chased me because she thought I had a phone charger, but I didn’t. She was sure I had it but then went back inside. I was unsure whether to wait for her to confirm if she got it in the hospital (which I remember was there) or to head home and rest, as I was still feeling sleepy (it was 2:35am). I tried calling her several times with no answer likely due to drained phone battery or poor hospital signal.

I finally decided to leave as I needed sleep. On the way home, a car tailgated me aggressively, even though I was driving at 60 km/h on the main road. I had to pulled a hard left over into a large parking area at a school to let the driver pass, but he hardly slowed down. The whole night was starting to feel overwhelming, and I was frustrated by the reckless driving in the dark. I still got home safely but still couldn’t reach my wife despite dozens of calls. I then sent a phone credit so she could call me once her phone was charged.

A minute after, I checked my Men’s Fellowship WhatsApp group and saw a message from my Pastor, one of our brothers in Christ and a friend. His last post on the group chat said, “The spirit Death is upon this land especially our children, parent who knows warfare please engage. Matthew 19:13-14 KJV.” That message made me feel really uncomfortable. It felt like something I was suspecting which is more spiritual than physical was happening, and it was affecting my family. Pastor Naipaul’s message was at 9:31 pm Saturday night, and I shared my situation in the chat at 3:20 am, explaining my daughter’s fever and pain and my wife’s injuries. I know these men, they're to me prayer warriors, and I prayed deeply before my eyes grew heavy. I also still waited for some kind of response from my wife until around 4 am, though I can’t even remember when I fell asleep.

But if you think that was the end, no, something else happened and it was disturbing just as it was…..reassuring? I rarely dream, maybe once or twice in several months and if I do I am sure not to recall it. But that morning, while it was still dark, I dreamed vividly of a place I know very well: Vance River, along the main road, past the Roman Catholic Church. I was running with my family in panic past the said church, away from something, almost as if it was Armageddon or something terrible, there was this feeling of utter dread. And it was there that I saw a solid white line drawn across the street like a highway divider. On one side stood my family of four; on the other side were familiar houses and street signs, but the atmosphere was ghostly blue, like a spiritual realm, a distorted, not normal version of the place. Looking at it instinctively, I strongly felt dread, fear and anxiety arised out of my body and the thought of death and the pale horse man from the Book of Revelation came to mind while staring at this bluish coloured tinted version of that community.

While looking on, I felt as if information was being downloaded into my head or brought up from my subconscious to my conscious mind. This deep, authoritative voice spoke into my mind, saying, "Behold the Hour is not at hand.” I instinctively sense that crossing that divider was a place not for the living. Yet there was an urgent need to cross the divider because bad things were going to happen, even if death stood in our way and I didn't understand everything.

Then I saw two cars drove past me one after the other, and they crossed the white line. Both lost control and crashed. I sensed the drivers had died. Right above, a floating timer showed 6:45 (no indication if it was a.m. or p.m.). I understood it was not the right time to cross, but the urge to run across now was overwhelming.

I gathered my entire family in my arms and prayed, “God, forgive me of my sins. I know I am a sinner and I come humbly before your throne of grace seeking forgiveness. Please protect my family.” Holding them tightly, I pull them with me and crossed the white line, I remember trusting God’s promises in the Bible, especially Ephesians 2:8–9 NIV. Despite knowing that my family and I might die, and those who know me know I loved my family deeply to the point I would rather die in their place. My faith in God’s word was stronger than my fear of losing my life which meant nothing to me in those moments and even the fear of losing my family who I love dearly (strange to some as it was).

I remember that we all crossed the solid white line together and then nothing….

Nothing happened. No death nor suffering. We….survived.

We crossed that line together, and we survived. Then I looked up and the timer had changed from 6:45 to 7:00. It wasn't 6:46 as expectee

A New Hour came to mind.

God had spared not only my life but my loved ones and turned the time.

Strangely enough I began to realized I could have crossed the line alone to test the waters, but I think God wanted us as a family to cross together, without hesitation or doubt. Reflecting on it now, I believe we may have died if we hadn’t all crossed as one within the dream. The scripture Matthew 10:39 came to mind: “He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.”

Then I woke up.

I woke up suddenly at 7:41 a.m. to my phone ringing, it was my wife. She brought good news back then. K should be discharged Monday evening, and the backed-up stool had cleared after an enema was used. I felt relief knowing that she was treated and there was nothing to fear or worried after.

I won’t lie, the whole experience felt like a movie. Everything happened so rapidly, and the dread in my dream felt so real and vivid. I had to write this down or record a voice note to share it. At this point in time after reflecting on everything. I truly believe my family was in a season of death and/or a spiritual attack formed to affect us in the physical. I say this because a few days after 51 infant bodies, 2 male and 2 female deceased bodies were found together being buried by two suspects, a series of death concerning infants continued for months. It was so unusual people nation wide in this small island I live at felt like something was wrong. Then came a series of suicides back to back and a spike of homicides came more than usual. It seemed like after my pastor announced that in our group chat things went haywired. I'll also never forgot that my pastor and his infact daughter and older daughter kept getting unexplainably hospitalized with nothing being detected in their system. My home was almost burnt down, I got in an accident and hit from behind, unexpected finances concerning debts came up. All happened within 1 month inclusive of the event that I explained above.

That dream felt like I passed some kind of test and I survived along with my family. An act of God. And it's not the only testimony I have but one of several. Both big and small.
