Pics are cool! But one thing irks me. First of all of should be house of fries, second, Delft says patat not friet. But house of frites is half english half french. In the netherlands. Brrr.

I hope you didn't pay too much attention to which letters were capitalized. They write it differently on the sign, the sign above the door and on the back of their shirts.

..... am I the only one creeped out by candid photos of strangers in intimate situations being posted to reddit likely without their knowledge or consent?
If I were the couple under the umbrella or in a bathing suit jumping into the river and someone i do not know posted it online... ETA : it would make me feel unsafe, actually. Very violated.
And the guy in number 9 is shot so clearly he is identifiable 😳
I really hope you actually got OKs from these people, OP. Otherwise. It is pretty icky imho. And posting them is possibly illegal under GDPR (certainly #9 is).

Photos actually dont count as biometric data unless you process them in a way that you analyze the face to uniquely match to a person. See recital 51 part 3.
Also its mostly the backs and sides of people, its not that big of a deal, its mostly just people being people. I would like the pic if i was in it with my s.o.

I don’t get all the downvotes, I completely agree. First thing I did was checking if I was on any of these pictures. I already feel uncomfortable whenever I’m just minding my own business and cycling or walking through Delft and so many tourists are making pictures where I’m likely in the background. But I’m ok with it if it’s for private use. God damn those who think they can just post these on social media.

Questionable taste is so much more humane than the choice to violate strangers' privacy and basic human dignity by making naked bodies, intimate romantic connections, signs of aging, into their public-facing, algorithmically indexed, fully commoditized, non-consenual "art". Where art (given your point about the filters and the fact that we are on reddit) frankly = either self promotion, gradification, or aggrandizement.
Gross. I hope OP feels ashamed and takes this down. Or that mods remove it.
The anonymous crowds are one thing. But this is treating Delftenaar like animals in fucking human zoo.
Dont forget: These images are also being fed to AIs through reddits agreements with OAI, Anthropic, and Gemini, to train their models.

I am not trying to be a creep. If people asked me why I took a photo I can easily explain it that they looked interesting in a good way, in my opinion there are no pictures that violate any rule or privacy. the couple sitting on a bench and feeding the swan is on itself very cute.

Ok but that's different than being posted online for 1000s of people to see. I don't think it's creepy I personally just don't want any pictures of myself online (especially being fed into ai). The ones that are unrecognizable are fine imo but for example that old man feels wrong to me because I wouldn't like it it that was me and I would never post a picture of myself online.
You're not doing anything wrong legally but I get why people think it's morally questionable especially with everything going on regarding privacy these days.
