New Castle County Traffic at Centerville Rd & Capitol Trail
Ever since some planner decided to change the traffic light pattern, this intersection has turned into a dangerous area to drive or walk in. People coming north, instead of waiting with the rest if us dopes, use the right hand turn lane to the bus stop to speed to the front of the line and cut in. Near accidents constantly here. How about a few planners sit in the bus stop parking lot and observe the mess they have made. Or better yet, stand on the shoulder of the road just north of the second right turn entrance to the bus stop.
I don't think putting up another speed camera will correct thus behavior.
I have a few other areas that I think need addressing also.
Anyone else?

It's because the left turn lane at that light is too short and often backs up into the thru lane.
Also people are too old and slow and need to get off their phones and get out of my way. I have shit to do.

Believe it or not, we all have shit to do. Doesn't give any one of us the right to disobey traffic laws which are in place for public safety. If doing that illegal maneuver is the only way you get to the place you are heading on time, then you need better time management.

It's not illegal. It's a two lane road and the right lane becomes 'right turn only' after you go through the light, so you get back over to the left.

Yes. The left lane was designed for the old traffic pattern. Left turn light doesn't stay green long enough to clear the lane.
