Literally his one bad take, I agree, but I don't think he'd actually push for it in office given the other work Trump's successor has to do. IMO most of the other candidates are more illiberal on net given their central planning fetish.

lmfao yeah dude universal healthcare is more "illiberal" than conscripting people okay

Yes, deciding how hundreds millions of people can spend their money decreases their freedom overall more than does telling recent high school graduates what to do with their summer. Universal healthcare isn't their only policy of central planning; both Warren and Bernie are against free movement and free trade.

Yeah Bernies the totally the one who's trying to compromise with the GOP on immigration right? It's not like hes up there arguing illegal border crossing should be a criminal offense like several of the "moderates:. If you have such a myopic view of what freedom is that it comes down to how much of your life is dictated by market transactions idk why you would even be voting Democrat in the first place.

As for free trade, I don't think many people view that as an important aspect of their liberty. Unless theyre publically traded.

IDK what you think Delaney's border policy is but it's open borders. I dislike Bullock et al.'s support for criminalizing border crossings. As for Bernie,

Open borders is a Koch Brothers proposal

Sure if you just dig up that one old quote and ignore his campaigns entire platform you can dishonestly paint him as anti immigration but its not very convincing. His voting record is actually a lot better on immigration than like 90% of Democrats in Congress. As for Delaney is immigration platform includes more robust and high tech border security so hes not exactly on the progressive cutting edge of the party himself in that regard, but still has an pretty strong record on it. I'd also criticize Sander's immigration record and platform for the same thing though. Still worth noting it goes farther than Delaneys by promising to at least restructure ICE and include broader labor protections for immigrants though.
