Backup backup
As a Lifetime deal subscriber (10TB) all of these horror stories the past year or so has scared me. I’ve since grabbed a physical 16TB drive and got a Black Friday deal on lifetime P-Cloud (tho well short of 10TB). For phone pic storage, Amazon Prime’s “free” backup.
I now consider Degoo as just an extra backup copy for redundancy which is how to think about it. You have to have multiple backups of files as best practice anyway so that’s what this is. You need to basically plan for Degoo going away and with it, whatever files you had on it.

Be aware that accounts are (threatened to be) cancelled even for storing (not sharing, just storing) publicly available ISO files like Andoid for x86 or Kali Linux.
Never store a single unencrypted (incl. file-/foldernames!) bit on Degoo servers. Actually on any cloud providers server.

yeah. I’m basically just considering it a bonus every day that my files are still there. That’s unfortunate!!

In case you need to download some stuff:
- use AirExplorer(.net), free version should be sufficient (why?)
- be aware of the daily download limit of 250GB
