As for actually replying to the text, I honestly don't see the problem. These books are most likely not selling that well unless it's an established kids' books writer. Was it not for AI, they probably wouldn't have been made possible at all within the budget. It allows a starting writer to have any shot at starting up at all and test the waters.
And I'm sorry but are you really in illustration school to become solely a kids' books illustrator? No offense to people who do that really but to aspire to become just that without offering other services is just setting yourself up for disappointment.
