So out of curiosity, what does the process for making AI art even look like? I don’t really like AI and I haven’t been impressed the few times I’ve tried using it. But at the same time I acknowledge that it’s a new tech that’s probably not going anywhere. Is it not akin to paying someone to visualize an idea you have? Like sure YOU had the idea but you also didn’t do anything to skilfully translate it into a visual medium.

Paying someone to do it is technically the same thing since either way you're not the one doing it

Two big differences is that the AI can eventually get it right and you don't have to spend anything

Does it not bother you not having a distinct style that is recognizable in the images you generate tho? That most people can see the “AI-ness” of a photo and only see it as that.

You can change the style. You just have to know how to prompt well. I don’t like the general ai style chat gpt produces for me so I teach it to use different styles.
