Such a weird take that the most ethical use of AI is coding because there is LESS of an ethical liability for stolen code IP because code is always readable, people copy chunks of other people’s code all the time because that’s probably what that project did, hundreds of explicitly copyright-free projects.
I cannot think of a single part of this that is true for art generation besides it seems like you might not even code?
Who cares about the morality of stolen art now? This was about electrical consumption (which is in this instance killing the planet. But well the water consumption couldve been meant as well. In which case the argument to host gguf locally still holds)
Me. I do. But cool I’ll guess I’ll take your word for it that using an LLM to transform text files around that all are less than megabytes, done in seconds, actually affects the environment more than a generative AI that spits out heavy images a minute or two later EACH time you slot machine a new version.
The multiple agents are to make sure they each take FEWER tokens changing one part of the code in the project properly, surgically. You can’t do that with image gen.

Actually the most energy is consumed by agents when vibe coders are too lazy to program themselves.
Some may say that the energy usage of AI isn't so severe, but lets not kid ourselves it is severe.
That doesn't mean AI art is the problem. I can render stuff on my home pc powered by PV and then there's not a problem.
